I've never seen that done that way?

One caution, I'd ditch that AEM dizzy adapter, it is not accurate enough in my opinion for what you're doing.

If it were fuel only, I'd say it'd be ok, but if full ignition control, I'd be hesitant using that.

Think gear lash and what that equates to in degrees!!!

Go with a crank trigger from GoingSuperFast.
Thanks man, interesting on the EPM. Any more info on the issues? From what i've seen it's supposed to be more accurate than a trigger wheel setup, plus it provides a cam position signal.

Can you elaborate on why you switched from cable to a solid linkage, please?
Thanks! Honestly, the reason I went to the solid linkage is because i think it looks cool. I'm sure the cable setup would have worked fine.

The way it is now is a good balance of the injector path and airflow into the intake port.

As noted above, when i first set these up I was going to use cable linkage. The way the linkage hooks up to the ITB's is on the fuel rail side. This would have allowed the bellcrank in the middle of the engine, with the cables running under the ITB's to hook up to the ITB linkage. It could have worked the other way around, but it would have been tight. This configuration gave me a little more room with the cables to sweep around.

Also for my fuel setup I was mimicking the fuel setup from a 3.2 with the fuel rails on the outside.

Wiring has continued

All new connectors and terminals were used for every plug.

Insulators on the coil pack wires

Wires stripped

Terminals crimped

Braided wire wrap on

Plug on, heat shrink shrunk

And repeat

Beautiful wiring job! When I redo mine, I'm going to crimp rather solder, so 0 splices.

Clay,

Where did you get the rod for the bell crank on the manifold? Also, what bushing did you use on the passenger side to mount the armature linkage?

Hello Clay,

Is there any chance I could buy a pair of your intake manifolds?

I had a few of the pivot rods made for the manifolds. The bushing are part of Al's linkage kit.

I'd also like to know what I can do to acquire a set of your manifolds Clay.

Dennis - I appreciate the plug, but let's try to keep this thread about the build!

While the wiring was moving, I also worked on the fuel.

The car was setup previously with Weber's and had a low pressure fuel pump installed.

I used an AEM unit to replace it.

So more wiring. I missed this pre-install pic of the main harness

Laying out the wire runs to all of the sensors

And installed a -6AN fuel line between the two rails

Vacuum lines from each TB to a vacuum manifold

The injectors are 30lb units supplied by Rasant Products

The coil packs are Audi 2.0T units, these are a little long but do the job for now. There is a short variant that i'll be switching to shortly.

For oil pressure, I used a universal 0-100psi 0-5v sensor with an adapter at the high pressure port location

This is the fitting - M10x1.0 M10 1.0 1/8 NPT Oil Fitting Pressure Tee T Adapter

For oil temp, I used an AEM 1/8 NPT temp sender with a Auto Meter 2267 Oil/Temperature Metric Adapter in the cam cover

For IAT, I used an AEM 1/8 NPT unit that I drilled and tapped into one of the ITBs

As noted previously, I used an universal vacuum manifold to collect all the vacuum lines off the ITBs. This serves the GM 1 bar map sensor and vacuum reference for the fuel pressure regulator

I also added a spring to the bellcrank linkage to help the throttle return

Wonderful stuff - I especially like your photography. Regarding the Audi COPs - I picked up a used one just to see how it would sit against the holes in the valve covers and mine was just loose in there - really didn't like that. I guess you could put some sort of spacer ring in there. Do the shorter ones actually rest against the covers?

That's pretty sweet, CLay. One day I'll want to do something very similar. Those Triumph ITBS look great!

What crimper are you using? Are they double-crimp?
