As for Yamaha it's just about money, why turn down big bucks,Rossi's money has paid Lorenzo's wages,a little irony e'h!!!,you could have put either Dovi or Cal in,Yamaha will still win the championship, all your talking about is back up. I take my hat off to Rossi, because I don't see him gaining anything, but jeeze he's got a lot to loose, and has done already,Rossi/Burgess the great bike developers!!!! |

I was thinking champion or nothing, as that was the topic at hand... not he can be higher in the ranking than rider "X" or rider "Y"... you guys were VERY insistent that he'd win the championship. If he doesn't win, you lose... if Lorenzo doesn't win, I lose as well... We are locking in a champion, not a rank. I thought is was enough that one of you started backpedaling....

Chris, the Yami paddock will be an interesting place next year. I can smell the mendacity already. The fact that Rossi would like to retire with the #1 plate is what is really driving the train. He has zilch to prove and is already set for life financially. This is just OMO.
I thing the most disgruntled driver at the end of the season may be Dovi; but, he should have had the bit in his teeth early on if he wanted to ride the factory bike longer. Really tough to go back and then come back up. |

Clarity was implied, Nils... seeing how you are generally very aware, I went off the assumption of it being clear that we are talking championships.
We never said he is going to higher in the rankings... so, no douchebaggery. Simple matter of taking action based on what we talked about.

I would not bet against Lorenzo for 2013 but I'm fine putting my boy (on a new team no less) against anyone else. Sorry for the previous, thought for a minute you made the Dani comment.

If you want to bet on Rossi for 2014, I take that bet for $500... you say he takes it, I say he won't... simple as that. Straight forward bet, no one else involved. Put up or shut up!

All right I'll put up, but not to your chickenchit rules. If you you want 21 riders against my 1 rider your gonna have to pay for them. I know you don't have the sand to back those odds so lets cut to the chase. Pick a rider other than Jorge for 2013, or we can come back in 2014 with him on the menu. Bet like a man or you shut up!

1. Suggesting that Rossi should have stayed at Ducati while riding that clunker is ridiculous. He proved his loyalty to the brand more than enough but don't expect such a talented rider to go down with the ship. I'm sure VW will sort the bike out sooner or later but more likely later as the Panigalle is already recalling their bikes and reviews are not as fantastic as expected.
2. Those ruling Rossi out because of his age should recall the thread I started long ago about Josh Hayes (no longer in his prime age) and his participation as a temp rider for Yamaha Monster MotoGP bike last year. I recall some one saying I hope he does not kill himself. Well the man proved everybody wrong riding the bike and track for the first time he came in Sixth! I'm sure Rossi will prove all his detractors wrong, so much talent will probably age but when his 60.

Chris, You are speculating me wrong. Facts show conversations were going on long before we read about the Yamaha HQ thing. As far as Colin goes we all now how that went. Riding the worst bike on the grid. Probably working as a mechanic and later riding the bike. I was referring to riders that can afford a manager both economically and strategically. Being your own defense attorney just does not work in this type of business.

Like so many other things, you didn't understand the bet.
It's a simple yes or no bet... he either wins the cup or he doesn't. If he does, you win, if he doesn't I win. Seeing how you are so confident that he will, it should not be a problem. So, who needs to bet like a man? Taking the one real threat out of the equation is very manly... LOL... but I am really not surprised that you won't stand up to your horn tooting.

![]() Obviously I was not the only one here who had to clarify terms so what is the commondenominator. That bet...HELL NO. Vegas is currently giving 7/2 odds on Rossi taking the championship in 2013 and you think anyone would be stupid enough to bet straight money on a 21/1 race season just be cause they are a fan? You have even less sence than I originally was giving you credit for. Take your ritalin and pay attention; I do not believe Rossi is going to win in 2013...did you you get that? I am not "confident he will win". Did you get that too? No horn tootings going on here other than me saying, yes, I believe he will be a champion again someday. Not trying to make a personal attack here and frankly I was enjoying the mild banter up until your ridiculus $500 bet to the guy you never met because you think you can bait him into doing something stupid. The fun kinda left the building at that point. But hey..rock on Dude. Continue being incapable of listening, quick to exaggerate (if not flat out lie), and foolish enough to think you are speaking intelligently.

As for Dovi, now that is an interesting one he was all set to sign for Tech3 again becuase there was no option, there's allsorts going on with Honda and they will throw the kitchen sink at next years championship, and while Marquez will struggling to find his feet,Dovi may very well end up with an interesting customer bike,Bradle as well. Chris, by nothing to prove, I meant Rossi doesn't have to prove that he is one of the greatest among greats. I think it's personal for him to retire with the #1 plate just as Stoner is doing this year. I don't believe he wants to retire on the last two Ducati seasons. It's a perception thing. Do you want to be perceived as the top dog or one that should have retired three years ago.
I'd like to see Suzuki and Kawasaki get back into the mix as Kawa has in SBK. That would do more for GP than this lame CRT rouse. But, the costs associated with GP are killing the class from within. Four more factory bikes would generate better opportunities for those driver waiting to show their skills. Bradl would certainly get a factory ride if Suzuki and Kawasaki got back in, Signit98.
