Whatever Covid death toll the gov't. is reporting should be partially offset by the usual number of flu deaths each year, since the flu has been eradicated by Covid.

You've got that wrong. Covid didn't eradicate the flu. The steps taken to control Covid did.
Viruses need a host to survive. Keep the hosts separated so the virus can't transfer from one host to another and the virus eventually will die out. Plain and simple, but most people just can't get that thru their thick heads.

I don't know about a suit, but I seem to remember the Marine Corps making an official statement that no vaccine would be mandated until at least it had received full FDA certification.

**this is an opinion and in no way constitutes claimed knowledge** ( that is for a couple of specific, very pedantic posters)

There are no approved vaccines for children under 12. The clinical trials are not complete...school will start before vaccines are available.

Those are the items they are going to look closely at. Not necessarily what they expect in large numbers. The entire presentation is available on pdf.

No. They can choose weekly testing instead of the vaccine.

https://calmatters.org/health/2021/07/california-vaccine-requirements-workers/
IN SUMMARY

The vaccination verification process will begin for health care workers on Aug. 23. All state employees also must be vaccinated or undergo weekly tests.

Employees of hospitals, nursing homes, dentists’ and doctors’ offices and other health care settings will have to comply with the requirements by Aug. 23. In addition, all employees of state agencies will be subjected to a verification process that will be mostly in place by Aug. 2, according to state officials.

No, it is mandated for college students. This is more stringent than the requirements for hospital workers. That seems a bit off, doesn't it.

Yes. There is a federal law that they can mandate an approved vaccine if there are no effective treatments. There are effective treatments, you just won't hear about them.

That said, I also believe that people should realize now that vaccines are readily available to everyone over 12, they have no excuse. What I mean is that if they get COVID-19, it's on them, and no one else can be blamed. People have a right to chose not be be vaccinated, but with that right comes a responsibility to accept their fate whatever may happen.
I know of a fair number of "fully vaccinated" people that have gotten it and been hospitalized. There is a case in Minnesota I believe where the person had both legs amputated.

You expect government mandate then?

While on this subject my sister pleaded with me not to get vaccinated next Tuesday.

So the 5%-ers will either be fine or will die, and the rest of us will be fine once we are all vaccinated.
Where are you getting 5%?

As for all the other vaccinations that keep being brought up, those are ones that have been around for decades, if not over a century. They are proven and the effects well known and documented. Huge difference from the C19 vax.
This is an interesting point

Those items are a partial list and should have been extensively examined prior to the mass vaccination program. This is the sort of thing that makes the Nuremberg Code applicable.

California colleges already require several vaccines. MMR, chicken pox, Tdap. No new precedence being set.

College, they're required just to go to grade school! Notice the flu and covid jabs are not required.

Flu is required in some colleges, not all. Mass has a requirement.

Fewer instances of the common cold were reported last year also. Also due to the steps taken to control Covid 19.

Maybe nothing to do with the pcr test not able to tell the difference?

Nothing on the left has changed. Still same basic ratio of pro / anti vaxx.

The balance of anti vaxxers on the right has changed, dramatically.

What you are hearing is the counter to the rights very vocal and volumous protest.

An argument for is largely dependent on an argument against which an obscenely large contingent on the right has given them.

NPR - of course... Ha!

and quite the bias language "obscenely large contingent on the right"

What I see is an even larger obscenely large contingent on the Left.

as in, 96% - an obscenely large contingent on the Left chooses to inject themselves with experimental gene therapy.
