While there is truth in what you are saying, look at Mick's previous years in the various feeder series . First year not that exciting . Second year generally better results . Third year consistent solid results . So far his Haas career on a similar trajectory . And the last two races out qualified his team mate . Yeah I like the kid so I am biased .

How the heck do Ferrari keep screwing up pit stops or strategy ???? They didn't have left rear tire ready to go for Sainz pit stop . Unbelievable

Well, Monday morning at the Mercedes debrief should be interesting.
Ferrari's consistency this year is truly amazing.

IIRC, it was a spur of the moment call and they were not ready. Sux now, ‘cause you almost expect Ferrari to have some anomaly every race.

Russell (#2) passing Hammy (#1) was a sight to see.

The Super License exception still needs to get approved before this can really happen. Definitely bad news for Daniel Ricciardo and Mick Schumacher, as another potential 2023 seat is going to someone else. |

I don't see the super license being an issue . I doubt Marko would have made the statement without knowing what has been agreed to behind closed doors . But I could be wrong . Thinking further ahead I wonder if this opens the door to a Andretti partnership of the Alpha Tauri team or a possible buyout .

Penguins are in zoos and they're not very fighty.
In between moments of forced conversation a gem can occasionally be found.

But from a practical standpoint, the possibility of denying Herta while having the likes of Latifi, Stroll, etc. in the field would confirm the FIA to be purely political. Herta reminds me a lot of Gilles Villeneuve. He's a pure natural talent, very low-key outside the cockpit, and can go fast in anything he's put in.

Headline today from Motorsport:
AlphaTauri rubbishes Dutch GP conspiracy theories and defends Schmitz The AlphaTauri Formula 1 team has responded to conspiracy theories concerning Yuki Tsunoda’s retirement from the Dutch Grand Prix. Another reason to sell the team to Andretti. I don’t believe the accusations to be true but they wouldn’t exist if there wasn’t one owner of two teams. Herta in my opinion is capable to be in an F1 car. He has all kinds of experience at very high speed with all kinds of pro seasoned drivers. Something you do not see in F3 or F2. They need to equalize or change the system. I do not believe Herta to be a pay driver or publicity stunt. |

Pretty good race yesterday. Once again, Hamilton showed his true self on the radio. Toto's explanation was spot on with the Sky boys afterward. Either give up track position and most likely come in 2nd or 3rd or worse, or just hold station and pray.
Ferrari: wow, just wow. Seems like the mechanics should have spoken up and said it was too late. The thing that got me was how nonchalant the mechanic was that brought out the LR wheel. No hurry and even sat it upright on the ground and all but stood there with hands on hips during installation and afterwards. Honestly, someone at Ferrari needs a boot up the behind. Otherwise, this will continue. Anyone that has been a boss knows that if you have issues like this and people that won't take personal responsibility to get stuff done, it will just continue until you give them a reason (such as sacking) to get it together.

I can understand the desire to win, but the season is LONG and points for 2nd or 3rd are way better than 4th. Mercedes need to work on getting points, and we all understand 1st is the big pay off, but consistent podiums will get you ahead of the rest of the field. No team is likely to catch Red Bull now, unless they trade for the Ferrari pit teams and strategists and give Ferrari their team.

Doesn't sound like the marriage of Red Bull and Porsche at the moment is very good . Seems like major stumbling blocks are in the way.
