ignoring the obvious life lessons of tabs life/perception of his life is not a good strategy.

learn from everyone and everything around you. what i learned from tabs, is be happy, cause my perception of tabs is that he was very very very unhappy, about a bunch of **** that did not come to pass, nor did it matter to his daily life in really any way. there is no sense spending your waning years hammering on about something that didnt come to pass, and didnt matter actually. thats a lot of negative emotion you just are bringing in, for no reason.

that doesnt make him a bad person or whatever, thats not the point. but to ignore the obvious lessons of the people around you is a foolish way to go through life. and a great way to end up like tabs at the end. thats something i would like to avoid in life.

I tend to agree but also understand that anyone who knew/knows him personally would not want to risk doxxing him in any way.

....and heavens, someone I know well who regularly contributed to the TABS threads has not been on here in years - got pissed off with PARF pre-mod and just said screw it all..frequents other sites.

But, maybe just to explore the point a little.

PARF is a place, along with some similar sites including dark web where the right wing point of view is not immediately shouted down/censored/hammered with nonsense.

I value it because us folks of the right hand persuasion at least can engage somewhat with our world view guiding us and not be moderated out of existence.

I personally have been banned from two mainstream media sites because in one case I suggested that

"those who were convinced that humans cause climate change ought to be returned to the environment they love so much forthwith."

The other one is where the reigning (left) party was spreading some disinformation about covid vaccines being proven safe and I suggested that

"Dr. Goebbels would be so proud"

In neither case was I allowed to appeal, debate or otherwise challenge - just banned.

Here at least you can hold some pretty dissimilar views and whatever you may think about the moderators, they generally do an excellent and balanced control of the dialogue - both ways.

...and in my case, it keeps me using Pelican as a supplier of choice....
