We get a whiff of Joe's stink up here in Santa Clarita periodically. He is pals with the Newhall Land Robber Baron club. He has been big in the Ahmanson Ranch developement which if followed over the years has become very ugly. I will give him credit for preserving open space as I actually endorse that. It's just how has thrown his weight around that I dislike. He is not even an elected official yet was pretty much self appointed director to the MRCA. I recall about a year ago an investigation into Joe resulted in questionable use of state funds where he was even cited. Yeah I have some questionable relatives. Everyone does. |
For Radu and Jim... this is what that guy was talking about at Bob's last night.

"all I know is f*ckin smoke em"
while the 20's on a T/A is ridiculous, Its looks like a cool design throwback to the original wheels. |

Hate to spoil the party but the Screaming Chicken isnt going to make it to Cali!
Unless those chassis's are re-VINed as new construction as close as they are going to get is Nevada. AZ won't even let them in with their new smog laws. 77' with a big block no way. Even if it is running a clean new LS fat block crate motor they won't get past the ushers at the door. I think they are really cool. The price tag is a bit spendy though. I still remember the engine tuned cluster trim they came with. Even know they were late 70's they were considered the last of the old school muscle cars. Three years after the the 1974 smog, bumper, gas shortage, Burt still had real hair, Jackie Gleason was still alive...... The biggest engine they snuck into Cali was the turbo predating the Grand National Regals that showed up in the early 80's. Jeez Burt is 72 now! In 1977 sales of the Fireturd and Camaro went up 500%... wow! The late 70's were something. Good times. East bound and down! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xnRwQjTYfGI&feature=related |
We have Mulholland, Willow Springs, the Canyons of Malibu, Angeles Forest, Bob's every Friday night, New Year's Run, Turkey Day Run, etc, etc, etc...
