He has sworn up and down up that he never raced it up there, but i personally (along with a bunch of the CRE group) saw him haul a$$ thru, to our amazement one fine night. " Dang, didn't know a teeter-totter could go so fast "

I've spoken with Mulholland Gary a few times. And yes, the ridiculous toupee and all... and always in one of his many El Camino / Ranchero / car trucks. Really nice guy.

I stopped by Kevin's shop, today. We were thinking of meeting up Friday, after work, at Bob's. Anyone else want to join?

I could be in for that.
What time are you looking to head over there?

Noah930 07-09-2009 07:44 PM

6 or 7?

I think you guys were looking for more "not yets". I was dissappointed, but not by the Aug Excellence at my local B&N last night. At least it had an article about 917s. I guess I'll be checking weekly for the next issue.

I'll close shop at 6 and it'll take a half hour to get across town.

lfot 07-10-2009 08:57 AM

Chris... and anyone else in the LA area who normally puts your car/s in a garage... it might be a good idea to park them outside for awhile... ye olde San Andreas fault has been twitching in strange ways lately:

Mysterious tremors detected on San Andreas Fault
By ALICIA CHANG – 1 day ago

LOS ANGELES (AP) — Scientists have detected a spike in underground rumblings on a section of California's San Andreas Fault that produced a magnitude-7.8 earthquake in 1857.

What these mysterious vibrations say about future earthquakes is far from certain. But some think the deep tremors suggest underground stress may be building up faster than expected and may indicate an increased risk of a major temblor.

Inside my head, I am jumping up and down because the article with photos looks incredible. I'd like to hear other people's opinion of the article please.

Thanks to Derek's inspirational thread, an old Mulholland racer breathed life back into an old Mulholland racecar. Thanks again.

Chris,
A huge congrats on the article, getting your car going again, and the general exposure of the Mul experience. Watching this from afar and reading from page one on day one had been great fun. Your car is legend and I am glad that you got it going again AND in Exellence! We need to thank Derek for asking "the question." I give a big thumbs up for bringing that beauty to Monterey and park in the corral. Forget the PCA snobishness for not being "correct," everybody else will give you lots of love.:D

Dayum that looks great. I cannot wait to see it in person. Just, wow...
