Looks like Charlie Sheen just bought a Maybach.... Will it be a trilogy and Sheen Ravine?

Porsche Crest Beautiful 911 table

Very nice Dave. Almost looks like Aluminum it's so bright.

It now makes the basis for a beautiful 911 table.
With injection stacks installed on a long block you could lay the table glass right on top of the air cleaner surface and Wow!

Quite a unique conversation piece.

Happy Thanksgiving to all. May you enjoy the day and evening with friends and family.

Talking Old days in Capris

Ran across this Capri commercial from the 70's.
Lot's of guys ran Capris...and went off in a Capri...probably at least 4 below Carls, lol
I had one for awhile, in 1976 my Mulholland girlfriend Leslie had one too.
Dave B may have some stories about the Capris and the CRE if he wants to reminisce a little.
I think Mark M. and John H. had one too...
What a great rear-end!

Shot on Mulholland?
Is that girl at the end flashing? Whowa!

Jeff H. sent me this, it's really more for you autocross guys, but still humorous.
Some Dudes just don't know how important the lug nuts are. (Oh Buddy, Watch Out!)

That almost seems staged. How could all 20 lug nuts fall off at the same time? Were they all only on there with one thread?

I agree, it does look odd. Good trick if done on purpose.

Nice touch with the keys-in-and-door-open-alert saying "STU-PID! STU-PID! STU-PID! STU-PID! STU-PID! STU-PID! STU-PID!"

Not setup. The story is the guy had just bought the tires/wheels before the event, but had gotten the wrong lugs. Put the tires on at the event, went out for a run and oops!

Oops and Oh Crud! (Oh sorry, forgot to tighten lug nuts...they seemed tight...what do you mean cross-threaded?)
(That's the last time I let my psuedo pit-expert girlfriend change my wheels/tires for the event).

Back to Tanner Foust:

The Tonight Show with Jay Leno - Thursday, December 16, 2010 - Video - NBC.com

He was on Jay Leno last night. Actually, all 3 American Top Gear guys were on. Their bit started at 29:50. But skip over the banter to 34:05 where, when asked which car each Top Gear guy would pick were he allowed only a single car, Tanner Foust proclaimed himself a "930 Turbo kinda guy."

Went to the Peterson today. I haven't been there in over 10 years; it's a lot better now than what it was like back then. They had an exhibit on cars of Hollywood--cars that appeared in TV/movies. The one that caught my eye was my favorite Jaguar of all time, the XKSS. Essentially a road going version of the D Type which won Le Mans 3 years in a row in the 50s, IIRC. The reason why it's in this thread: the car didn't appear on film anywhere, but was owned by Steve McQueen as mentioned previously in this thread.

You really, really get the best photos when you ask people to please move aside when you trip the shutter.
