If you don't want to have an abortion, don't have one. If you think/feel its murder, OK, good for you. You have just made a judgment based on what you think is correct for you.

Why doesn't the women who's pregnant get to make that same judgment for herself? I know,I know, YOU know whats best for everyone else.

Implying (or saying) have an abortion is selfish is LUDICROUS!!! EVERYTHING humans do has a selfish component to it.

With all those good deeds and selfless acts you've done in your life, are you really saying the thought that you "just added another jewel to your crown in Heaven" didn't cross your mind?

I think most would say because of the other life she's ending. And that it has nothing to do with control.

Ending a human life, that has already started to develop, is the crux of the issue. No one has the right to do that. Unless, of course, we as a society need to remove a blight upon us that has caused great harm and suffering, usually by way of taking another's life.

Lets not be hypocritical here. If you were really interested in letting nature take her course you would be against all forms of birth control but, I rather doubt that you are. I'm really sorry to hear of your wife's miscarriages, I know what that's like. My wife and I interfered with nature for our own ends to insure my first daughter was born. I'm OK with that. I wonder if you and your wife did the same? Most everything a human being does is for his or her own ends if you look at the big picture.

Would you interfere with nature to end your mother's life to save her a long painful death? Would you call that murder?

Making a decision to end a human life has the same result whether by capitol punishment, abortion, murder or sympathetic euthanasia. A living entity dies. You are mearly justifying the differences for your own sanity. Rhetorically, how are you able to play god to determine when a criminal dies but, not a severely deformed fetus?

You didn't mention whether you were against all forms of abortion or not.

I've never had a selfless act on my own, and if one exists out there with my name on it, I'll take no credit for it myself.
