Oh man.... everything about the Countach is pure sex. Have I mentioned my recent hardon for these?
Only like $60k now! So I just need to save another.... $59k! Or how about this- if I lived in one for 3 years, it would be almost free. |

the original LP400 Periscopa is the best looking i think. however, i think they are going for 3 x $60K (for a beater) or more these days. hand made magnesium wheels cost $2,000 each in the 1970s.
rammstein: there is a great LP400 thread here if you like amazing photos. unfortunately you need to register to see them. i set up a screen name just so i can see the pics. its worth it. and free just like this site http://ferrarichat.com/forum/showthread.php?t=163765

Yup; it's a '76 that I bought in '79 at the ripe old age of 19. I just keep riding it and rebuilding it. It's a fun old bike.

well, i love it. youve converted it to push button start?
i had a 2003 sportster. i loved riding it, but hated the design of the frame. looked like the designers were drunk. much prefer the old iron heads

![]() AMG Monoblocs (but I'm biased ).![]() ![]() ![]() I always thought the E34 M5 wheels with their removable covers were innovative. The finned design (looks like whitewall) was actually made to enhance brake cooling. ![]() The M-Contour, LTW, and M-Parallel wheels from the E36 M3 are pretty iconic as well, and a popular addition to a variety of modern BMWs. I would also add the Porsche Cup, Cup 2, and Turbo Twist wheels to the list. Between OE and repros, you can find them installed on just about any model of Porsche. They seem to look good on about anything.

When I saw the words "most famous" in the thread title, I thought of the dark spoked Americans, like on Dean's Skylark.
The reason I thought of them is because they were made famous on the silver screen. ![]() Understated, non-blingy wheels will always be my favorite look on any car... I think wheels should compliment the lines of a car, not be the first thing one notices. ![]() ![]()

serge, what did I say about wheels not being the first thing you see when you look at a car????
![]() The word you are looking for regarding those monstrosities is "infamous"... and that's being kind.

That's a really odd look. Not necessarily bad, just odd. I'm having a hard time wrapping my brain around the wheels and car together.
