Get off my lawn!
|
I had phone call from a customer. As we were finishing up I wished him a happy turkey day tomorrow. Then he said the meanest most horrible thing to me. He said "don't eat too much tomorrow" whaaaa. I need a safe place and a safety pin!
How could he be so mean the tell me something like that? The one day per year we are supposed to pig out and he says don't eat too much. I plan to ignore is advice tomorrow.

I tell people eat all the other stuff you want but watch out for too much turkey. It might make you comatose, unless that is the desired result you are going for.

I watched the Monty Python movie "The meaning of Life" the other night once again. I had forgotten how gross the restaurant scene was. I will stop before I explode.

Brother Bob first was asking if he was invited to Thanksgiving dinner. Since my nephew Thomas is hosting the ordeal tomorrow had him email Bob an invitation. He told everyone he didn't have the money to pay for the gas to make the trip and how depressed he is getting because he doesn't have any place to go or anyone to spend Thanksgiving with.
Yesterday morning Tom and I anonymously deposited $100 in Bob's checking account. Late yesterday evening Bob sent an email to everyone saying he wouldn't be able to make Thanksgiving dinner tomorrow because he doesn't have the gas money. Then he sent me a text about how depressed he is because he doesn't money to come visit and doesn't have any kids or grandkids he can spend the holidays with. Sent a text back saying Check your bank account, and I don't have any kids or grandkids and it doesn't bother me. Have not heard back from him.

Oh great.
Just got a call from Bob. He is coming to visit for Thanksgiving and I already watched the latest episode of "People of Earth" The comedy about a bunch of people that got abducted and the aliens that abducted them.

Big black dude banged on my door. Water line busted down the street from me. They are shutting off the water all afternoon to fix it.

Don't flush the toilet unless ya gotta!
We had a water main break a few years ago that shut off water to a wide area. I was outside chatting with a neighbor and he lost water as well of course. He called his wife and told her they had lost water and not to flush the toilet. She decided to test that and flushed all three toilets and of course they all flushed once. She called him back and said they were working fine. He shook his head and said they won't flush again. He came over and I filled his 5 gallon bucket with my water well.

We had a wire break on the pump once. That sucked waiting for someone to come the next day to fix it an no water in the mean time. Parents are only a few miles away so showers weren't an issue.

I have been amazed at my water well pump. It is 18 years old and never a single issue. It just waters the yard and I use it to wash my cars. The water tastes great and I do know it is real hard water. Lots of minerals.

Yeah we feel for ya Jim.
We have a fire plug right in our front yard so I don't think we have to worry too much. Sleeting/snowing here but supposed to change to all rain tonight. I made cupcakes with DIY frosting for the kids. Daughter has her friend over because her parents are separated now and she had no place to go. My son cannot stand her so he's downstairs watching "Van Helsing" and the girls are upstairs playing some Godawful dance type music. ewwwwww ....and puppy is snoozing............again.

That is where I lucked out with our daughter. She hates dance music. Rock and metal are the choice for both kids, though the 7 year old like it heavier than I do.

I have to admit she does like Dynamite from Tao Cruz.
She doesn't mind Guns-n-Roses but hates Axle's voice. She says he sounds like a cat on fire sliding down a chalkboard.
