Leftovers - how old is too old

So excluding Seafood....

How many days will you save leftovers in the refrigerator before they get tossed?

"Dib's on Snipes spoons." In fact I think I'll start over there now. By the time I get there he'll be in a severely weakened condition. No sense in waiting 'till hes fully cold.

I'm not big on left overs, and it depends upon if they are left over from my cooking or a doggie bag.

If it's home cooking, then probably up to 5-6 days, but I always visually inspect and sniff. I guess it kind of depends upon what it is (type of food) and how much I like/want it too.

Whatever doesn't kill you makes you stronger!

I ate in the cafeteria in college. After that I found that just about anything prepared correctly can be considered edible.

Well, it didn't taste bad per se, but i do have a little bit of a headache now. I think that might just be from the loud music i have playing though.

Maybe i should turn it down some.

Food poisoning nearly killed me a few years ago so I'm overly cautious about food. Next day, or it goes out with the rubbish.

Well i'm still alive and not feeling ill.

6 days if refrigerated and wrapped is good for an Arby's roast beef sandwich- Verified.

I keep my refrigerator at 32F in the center shelf, some spots are 30F, so stuff usually gets dehydrated or damaged from semi-freezing before it actually "goes bad".

Thus, no particular time limit. If it still looks okay, I'll eat it. 1-2 weeks routinely, maybe done 3 weeks on occasion.

It depends. Usually 7 days is max on home cooked food, with soup being an exception. If you bring it to a boil for 15 minutes, and it had been refrigerated, it should be fine for even 10 days.

Peas porridge hot
Peas porridge cold
Peas porridge in the pot
9 days old
