Lady Gaga - songs and stage antics The Kardashians - rich daddy and big booty (in line with Paris Hilton) Jon and Kate - TV Show implosion Howie Mandel - funny stand up in the day, host of a very stupid show, his agent and PR firm have done a great job with him.

Gaga reminds me of Madonna back in the day. I like some of her songs. She is a talent, whether a lasting one or a flash in the pan we don't know yet. Don't know anything about Howie. The others are twits and/or scum.

They had a report on Varney and Company that Paris Hilton's perfume lines have done about $100M in sales in less than 10 years. This is just her PERFUME lines. I think there are more brains there than at first glance.

Oh, I forgot to add Kid Rock. Has he had any hit songs besides that rip-off on Sweet Home Alabama? Why in the world is he famous? Now I see his mug on the Jim Beam placards in the liquor store. Yeah, I'm putting that Maker's Mark right back on the shelf and running for the Beam after that. Uh huh.

WTF? I saw him sing Sweet Emotion with Aerosmith and his harmony was so bad, I thought Ozzy was backstage, torturing an animal with Kid Rock's mic feed.

Add to your list the following: - American Pickers - The Pawn Stars team - All of the Survivor/Amazing Race/Bachelor/etc. show 'stars.' - Dog the Bounty Hunter (My wife actually likes that show) - Ice Road Truckers (I kinda like that show myself...) The Hollywood execs just LOVE reality TV -- it is easy to produce, inexpensive compared to running a regular sit-com or drama, and the sheeple of the US gobble it up like crazy! Personally, I HATE reality TV. Why should I delve into someone else's miserable pathetic life when I have my own miserable pathetic life to deal with?!? And these reality "TV STARS" keep milking their 15 minutes of fame as far as they can go. Especially that prima-donna Kate Gosslin. I guess our society love to see a train wreck! -Z-man.

If it were not for Speed TV, History, Science, Si-Fi, discovery and Nat Geo I would not even have a TV, well except for the local storm coverage.

My wife loved that show. I can't stand it. I remember watching the first show on the family, which was an interesting "Day in the Life" documentary on how a normal family deals with sextuplets, it was actually interesting. He still had a job, and they lived in a fairly small house. How they handled the logistics and stress of the situation was kind of compelling, in a "How would I handle that" sort of way. It turned in to a dog and pony freak show. Then again, If I was in their position and had a chance to milk the hell out of that cash cow, It would be pretty hard to pass up. I mean, how much would it cost to send 8 kids to college? Tom | ||

I have no idea who most of them are. I know who Howie Mandel is, but wasn't he a stand-up guy/second-rate TV actor back in like 1988? I've heard the name "Lady Gaga" but have no idea who she is or what she does. I guess I should be glad then (?) I really don't follow music or entertainment and I watch maybe an hour of television a week (usually something on Discovery or Nat'l Geographic). I can't think of the last movie I went to. So who are these folks and why should I care?

Rick I was going to have to call shenanigans on your claim that you have never heard a Lady Gaga song, but embrarer beat me to it and explained it quite nicely. Even if you don't realize you have heard some of her songs, it would be virtually impossible for you to not have done so.

Lady Gaga? Her video Bad Romance has over 233 million views on YouTube. It is masterful. I wouldn't buy her music but talent is talent. With good marketing of course . . . Ian
