Bells is one of my very favorite surf spots. I think I've had it good 75% of the time I've visited the area, and the bulk of the shortboard crowd surfs over @ Winkipops ..

The power on display in womens surfing has ratcheted up several notches in recent years. They are great to watch now.

With winter setting in early, I'm feeling it too here in Az.

Bells at day break. Out of the sleeping bag in the wagon, can of cold baked beans, the joy of a wet wettie.

Spent two plus hours in the water this morning starting at about 6:30am
Was the only one out for a bit then a gentleman paddled over from one of the anchored boats. We were the only two until about 8:30. Waves were chest high when the sets rolled in. Water was crystal clear and about 66 degrees. Shorts and a wetsuit top was all that was needed.
