Help me out guys! Will this mag fit the AR15? I'm not familiar with FN, FNHR, etc.

FAQ's ask if will fit the AR15 and the answer is yes, but try it to be sure. Well, the only way I can try it, it to buy and ship it.

Or are you guys buying them all up and not tellling me?

It'll work. That's a ridiculous price though. I would hold off on mags for at least a few more weeks. My distributors are telling me Magpul will be shipping soon...

I look at ammo as something to barter later down the road.
No one needs thousands of rounds of ammo for personal use. But just like matches, toilet paper and many other items... Ammo isn't a bad investment.

I still have boxes of ammo for cals I don't even own anymore. Someone will need the stuff and I will get something good in trade.

Just don't turn around and use it on me.

Looks like my 800 rounds of .223 from Cabella's has gone from backordered to cancelled.

I was talking to my transfer FFL today. He was saying that receivers went from a 2 week backlog to a 2 year backlog. Things have to straighten out soon...

Went in Wallyworld earlier and out of curiosity checked out the ammo case...not "quite" as bad as 4 years ago, but pretty barren. Not much selection for rifles, nor pistols as most popular calibers were gone. With one exception...there were probably 25 boxes of .45 ACP...they must have gotten them in this morning .

When I was at a cleaned out Bass Pro Shop in KC a week ago, the one ammo that they had plenty of was .45. Guess the 1911 guys with their 7-round magazines aren't too concerned about bans.

Three or four training classes would wipe out that inventory. Guys who shoot in competition and practice regularly would go through that in maybe two months. Or less.

Don't assume a consumption rate based on your own limited experience.

i still can't get the reloading components i want: .224 bullets in 55gr - 75gr, BLC(2), IMR4895, varget powders, and primers are still hard to come by. as for .223 ammunition, the gouging is outrageous: $1/round for the cheap CRAP that was selling for $0.35/round six weeks ago.

Yup. When I was an active competitor, it wasn't unusual to go through in excess of 10,000 rounds per year between practice and competition.

here as soon as they get them in stock at Wallyworld they are gone by the next day, if not within a couple of hours.

44MAG.com - Wholesale Rifle and Pistol Magazines has 223/556 mags in. Pricey but they have them.

Ammo here in KY is getting wiped out as soon as it hits the shelves. On frequent trips to WalMart and even to gun stores all that is usually left is .22 WMR and oddball stuff like .32ACP

I luckily found 2 boxes of .44 Mag for my Ruger a few days ago and I'm actually looking into getting one of the new Ruger LCRs in .22 WMR

A tad bit off the original topic however I thought some of you may find this useful. Here is a list of the proposed guns in the new AWB.

That looks just like my local WallyWorld or Dicks.

I'm lucky, in that my gun is in a caliber that apparently has unpopular or overproduced ammo, .45ACP. I've had a little trouble finding it, but nothing like the 9mm or .40S&W guys, and certainly nothing like .223. You can't get .223 in Maryland for love or money.

We have a few firearms auctions here in Michigan every week. .223, all you want just over a buck a round usually. Just sayin.

If you really want ammo it's available PPT. Mark up yes but abundant.

The only ammo I've seen in abundance and at a steady price is .50 BMG.

I can't even find .22 LR.

how much ammo are you guys hoarding? Why not arrows instead? You can cheaply reuse them and provide about the same amount of food,
