WTH, I'm a flake no how. "Productive conversations" are not one of my strong suits. Having to type them doesn't help either......nor does the aging process.
I am usually pretty good at separating the wheat from the chaff, however. Keeping my cake hole shut when faced with drivel from exspurts gets tougher with age.

I agree with the above. I've been on the net for close to 15 years and Pelican IS a cut sbove so.......I'll hang on here till I take the dirt nap.

A couple of good Mustang threads on here.

Classic Mustang Resources?
My New 1970 Mustang
Hot Rod suspention shops for Rustangs

Jim Brenmer is a particularly good resource, in those links you'll see a lot of info on his fantastic street/track car. He's tried a lot of different things over the years.

IMO, you can find a cobra replica for $25K and it will resemble a cobra but that's about it. A nice fiberglass replica (IRS, leather, pin-drives, FE for a 427 car...think ERA) is a $40K or more investment. YMMV

JP... I bet you got hooked on those old rods during the Cruising the Gut??

We were in Vancouver this yr during that show, amazing display of iron and we had a good time to boot. I really drooled over a beautiful 58 vette in yellow, outstanding. Also saw a 78 911 turbo with a chevy block stuffed in it

I grew up in West Seattle cruising California Ave & Beach drive (Alkali) driving my 62 409 Cheby with 4.56 posi.......4mpg. Bangin' gears & making noise.........
The only thing that saved my drivers license (& maybe my life) was blowing that sucker up.

Isn't .90 the max over before getting into the water jacket? (i.e. rebuilt 3 times)

The cost factor.....all about the same, upper & lower.......dirt cheep rust buckets to outrageously over priced pride & joys.

I really like the 67-68 Cuda fastback.

Nice ones are really hard to find.....as are the parts for same.....4 speeds make it worse and the few I see are un-cheep.

If you're not familiar with them, there is a company called Dynacorn making reproduction bodies that may or may not interest you.

A 32 highboy could be really nice as well!

I had a cross ram with dual 4 barrels setup like that on a Hemi ..
Finally switched it out and went back to the dual inline fours.

Idles and goes like hell though.

All steel '37 and not far from the OP:

1937 Ford 2 door Sedan

(Personally, I'm not too wild about the wheels and tires, but this could be worth a look)
