Fantastic resto job. I love when people give new life to things and keep them out of landfill.

Derek - that really came out nice

I had some decent finds at 3 estate sales yesterday.

Late 1980s Tyco HO Set complete $10
Orvis Fly Fishing Vest $6
Vintage Swarovski binoculars $20 well worn and old but the optics! Wow.
Lotus JPS transistor radio $2
Pulsar LED watch $4 I think these sell for $150-200+
Citizens Digi-Analog Chronograph $4 $75-100+ resale.

BTW, the Tyco F1 set was found at an estate sale in the heart of ghetto. The basement was dark, dingy, moldy and water-damaged but looked like it was a thriving Blind Pig in the 70s/80s. Circular bar, 3 huge curved sofas, lots of chrome and mirrors, shag carpet on the walls. It was awesome.

Got this at a local junk shop today. No idea where it came from but it is signed by Robert C Therien Jr who is a local fine artist. Perhaps a sign he made for his buddy? It's on foam core. About 6' long and 18" tall (it's on a stack of tires for size reference). No idea what it's worth but paid $20. It's going on the wall in the garage.

Found this 1/6 scale R/C snow machine for $10. Runs on a 19.2V battery. No charger but I tested it with 2 x 9V batteries and it ran great.

1981 Nastassia Kinski poster. I looked it up one of the original numbered posters sold for $77,000 in 2009. Autographed ones are $1,500 and this one sells for between $70 and $250. This one was professionally mounted but has some damage from the glass breaking. My cost: free My kind of garage art

Im not sure if it was a score or punishment yet but garbage day I picked up this old curio cabinet. Sofar spent about four hours scraping off 2 layers of nasty old paint. Probably about 1/3 done. Sucks doing the inside. Most of the original wood finish is still in good shape. I think itll be worth it. Whats up with the green glow in the dark colored paint I see quite often on old stuff? That must have been a super hot color at one time.

Estate sale find. I always head to the garage when I stop at an estate. The cast iron pitchfork was hiding in the corner. I had 3 guys say to me as I was leaving that they wish they had seen it. $4.

CL score for the buyer .... I thinned the ski collection a bit. Sold 27 pairs of vintage 60/70/80's downhill race skis for $250.

I think you both won....

And I'll bet he's going to make Adirondack style chairs for his ski lodge with those.

It's funny, the guy who bought them was mid-30s (a cop). So the skis are well before his time Says he's actually going to try some of the long boards! His wife raced in college and is a better, more aggressive skier then him. He said "it's probably against the rules to cut any of these up, right?". You are correct sir!

I weeded out about a dozen of the very best stuff to sell individually. Most of those should be $200+ each with one pair hopefully around $500 (new, never skied on 1974 Dynamic VR17 - the Holy Grail).

^ . Fun fact, I just recently found out that the Late, Great Gram Parsons had family ties to the Cypress Gardens, and Baz likes music, so the CG board is perfect for him! The chair found the correct owner!
