Picked up today - free at curb.......

Three office chairs....all in perfect working order.

A couple of plastic bins. One filled with 13 large used towels that are dirty but usable. Washing them right now with Clorox added to disinfect. These will be used in the shop.

I'm already sitting on one of the chairs.....one of the two with the extra bells and whistles. Boy this thing is dope! Adjustable: armrests, height, seat angle, and back angle. I have a question about the padded bin which I will post in a separate thread.

Picked up these four brand new 10 ton jack stands today of Craig's list. Seller buys out storage lockers, and got these out of one. Paid about half price if I ordered them on line. The adjust from 28" up to 46". Just what I need for the Unimogs.

I'M BACK!!!! With the latest finds from the Thrift stores. I am finally getting burned out on going to the Thrifts all the time, I think partially because the pickins are getting so slim???? So I go to one or two stores and that is it...I have so much stuff that my house looks like a fkin thrift store. Ouuuuu not good....Help...Someone call HOARDERS for an intervention.

Anyway

2 Copper pans, a Victoria cast iron Tortillia press $7 worth $25..just a good press, a Briddell meat clever $3.00 worth about $50. and a Cutco chefs knife $2.00 worth about $35 to $40.

Now to the real treasures from this last week.

The first one is Dehillerin made in France 8 inch or 2 qt Saute Pan with 3mm copper and SS lining. $6.00 they go for about $225.00 new

Second one is a Meriden Sp Co. "Hilton" 12 inch sterling SILVER on Copper Crepe pan made in 1959. It is heavy gauge copper. I never knew that they had silver lined pans..well you learn bit by bit. Fairly rare item. $5 I think at least $65 on the Bay. Something like this new is gona be around $600.

Hey Tabs,
That Cutco knife is worth over $100. They have a lifetime warranty. If you send the knife in to them, they will inspect and sharpen it. You do not have to provide proof of purchase. If they find any blemishes, they will replace it with a brand new knife. I sent in about ten last year. Three they replaced with brand new knives. They actually sent me the wrong knife for one of them. When I called they sent me the correct knife and told me to keep they one they accidently sent.

WWII 18cyl Radial engine manual from a car show flea market. $5. I regularly shop at the guys booth he always has alot of interesting manuals cheap. I saw it at a show last month but passed it up. Then I saw him at the junk yard and asked him to save it for me next show. Last year I got a factory service manual for a lotus elan. Thats one of my favorites.

I've had the week off due to my knee surgery so I was looking to get out of the house today. After my doctor's appointment I drove around looking for the Friday estate sale signs and I spotted one in a prime part of town. Old house (for FL) probably built in the 40-50's with a detached garage.

Went straight to the garage and found this monster bolted to the workbench. $30 and it was mine. Probably weighs 35 pounds and has nearly no play in the mechanism. Made in Reading, PA. I'm happy.

As I found it:

A camcorder is a camcorder, right? To some, I guess they are. Found this at an estate sale Sat for $25 toward the end of the day (so probably 100+ people walked by it). Sony 4K 20MP with Zeiss glass. These are $800+ new, $400+ used on fleaBay. Shotgun mic included sells for another $75. Camera appears not to have been used with all accessories.

I picked up this non-working, sad sack of an espresso machine off Kijiji for $20. It's a BUNN ES-1A, which as it turns out is made by Gaggia of Spain (fancy!). A good cleaning, a bit of re-wiring, and few new fuses got it working. Media blasting, bondo, paint and polish gave it some pizazz.

Before and after >
