Picked up this Enco mill recently at an estate sale. Stuuuuupidly cheap. Great shape.
Now it resides next to my other mill, which I also found at an estate sale.

I helped my neibour clean out her shed last week. Her husband fixed lawnmowers and there were a bunch of little parts he had saved. I was going to the recycling place anyways that day and she asked what could be recycled. I told her anything made of metal or partially made of metal or if it had a electrical cord attached.

A couple of days later she phoned and said she had put out some other stuff for me to recycle. A metal stainless steel strainer that fit nicely in my parts washer and a 12" Lodge cast iron frying pan. They are $60 up here.

Re-seasoned and ready to go.

I missed a flight from COS- SJA back in the pre-ebay days and decided to spend the extra 3 hours I had going to "The Mister" pawn shop, one of my faves.

In the display were 2 funky old-school microphones with big power supply boxes and long cables, really unweildy-looking.

At that time as a 80-90 hour/week studio engineer I knew exactly what was going on and slowly crawled up to the counter to play dumb.

"What's up with those microphones you have to plug into the wall and stuff?"

"I don't know. AS IS."

Price on the sticker, $350 each. I left for $350 total.

Today, around $4k each!!

Recent estate sale find. Old farmhouse. Found this laying in the grass with some other odds & ends. It's a 1937 Kadette radio with Bakelite case. Made in Ann Arbor, MI. It works and is in very nice condition. $15. Estimating $400-600 resale value.

If that Bakeelitye is really Catilyn (sp?) your estimate may be low. Suggest you look around here..maybe sign up.

Found these today at a yard sale. 60" beam clamps. They were marked $5 a piece. I opened my wallet and I only had $4. He took the 4 bucks for both.

My wife scored this one. We passed a yard sale and I didn't see anything. She picked up a few things and we were getting ready to leave and I got a call from work. She told me she'll keep shopping while i'm on the phone. She comes back with a box and asked, "is this tool worth anything?, I got it for a dollar."

Four stroke Saito 40!! Never run, with the box, muffler and tools.

I got a cannon at a local estate sale last weekend! I didn't think anything of it and brought it home since I have always wanted one for some reason. It was a little grimy and had some surface rust on it. So I hit it with some bar keepers friend and it shined up really nice.

I took my flashlight and took a peek down the barrel and it was loaded! I gave it a nice tap on my work bench and a lead ball and a bit of powder came out Behind that was another ball... Now that it has been rendered safe its time figure out how to shoot it. Appears to be .45cal and has a riffled barrel. Also picked up a full case of Nixie tubes which I hope to flip.

It depresses me to ask this, but does that cool little cannon function and fall under BATFE "Any Other Weapon" (AOW) category? Serial numbered? Need a tax form to transfer/own? I ask because it appears to have gunpowder and projectiles with it.

No, it's considered an "antique". Same as a black-powder muzzleloader. State/local laws regarding muzzleloaders may vary however.
