10 Cloverfield Lane. Probably posted already.

John Goodman alone makes the movie.

From IMDB "After getting in a car accident, a woman is held in a shelter with two men, who claim the outside world is affected by a widespread chemical attack."

With Scorsese directing, it's got to be good!

Marathon Man is on TCM Sunday night. Actually TCM is airing a bunch of Dustin Hoffman movies on Sunday.

Is it safe?

Ha Ha
I was at the periodontist a couple of years ago. He was chipping away by my gum without freezing and asked me if it hurt.
My reply was keep going it's not Marathon Man painful.
He thought bit was pretty funny.

Chronicle. Found footage film. I highly recommend it. No jump scares. $12MM budget. Well done. You think about it the next day. The psychological ramifications, primarily.

The White Orchid. An ok mystery flick with a tripple cross ending.

Speaking of Marthe Keller....I watched "Black Sunday" today - from 1977 and directed by John Frankenheimer, with Bruce Dern and Robert Shaw.

Black Sunday... The "Blimp bomb" concept was scary. A movie ahead of its time.

---

I watched this after your recommendation. Generally enjoyable but the ending is what made the movie.

Any fans of Laurel and Hardy should watch "Stan and Ollie" starring John C Reily and Steve Coogan--good movie.

A little dark.

Hereditary

Surely old news on this thread. Toni Collette works her stressed-look face as well as Veronica Cartwright.

Saw it last night. I appreciate scary movies without jump scares. Spielberg recommends only one per movie IIRC.

Thieves like us.
Set in the 1920s. Made 1974 seven years after Bonnie and Clyde but holds its own.

Heard that they were considering a 2019 modernized remake, but this time to keep up with the times, will be titled....
“12 Bat Chit Crazy Women” JK!!! My dark sense of humor went right to my 12 year old self.

It happens when I watch too much Robot Chicken....[emoji849]

An older but funny film. The bedroom scenes are the best.
