Unless you're stopping for gas or a Big Gulp, stopping just to pee is a good way to kill a road trip.

My 911 will go 500 miles on a tank of gas. I never stretch it that far unless it is the last miles to get home and I know I can get 100% gasoline in OKC.

I like to stop every 200 to 250 miles to get out and stretch and get something to drink and pee. This summer in went from OKC to Flagstaff, AZ the first day and on in to Monterey the next. On the way back home I stopped in Gallup, NM for the night.

I have done the most boring road in America, from Denver, CO to Salina, KS on that trip we started in Salt Lake City and ended up in Salina.

Another trip was from OKC to Maryville, TN. No prospect of getting lost. I-40 all the way.

I use a five gallon bucket placed on the floor of the truck. Hard to miss and hard to over fill.

Done it many times, tricky at first, but with time and frequency you'll master the process :-)

And BTW, if you haven't, you better start practicing know because it won't get any better as you get older; ask me how I know. Similar to "sound sleep" all night long w/o peeing = a thing of the past. LIFE IS GOOD!

Why, is something inside the bottle on fire?

I just don't drink much when taking a leak is going to be inconvenient or difficult whether that is during a roadtrip or when flying.

Can you pee in a bottle while driving?

I made the mistake of downing a humongous coffee on the morning of my long solo cross-country flight for my Commercial Pilot certificate years ago. About 45 minutes in, comfortably at cruise (think I was at 10.5k') I got the twinge. 15 minutes later it was unbearable. I invented a way to juggle my charts, the headset, the control yoke and my wang so I could aim out the storm window. Probably the best whiz of my life. I think if I'd had tried to hold it my bladder would've ruptured a la Tycho Brahe.

Wonder if anyone down on the ground experienced any isolated rain showers that day...

Put the cap on your plastic water bottle, pull out a knife and cut 1/2" off of the wide base end of the bottle, insert junk, purge, toss out window, or pour it out the window if being witnessed.

That must be I-70 going East. It's nothing but farm fields and dirt roads with an occasional village off in the distance for excitement.

NB: keep junk away from sharp edges.

Be careful with this. Prolonged sitting with a dehydrated body will be recipe for blood clots.

Compliments on thread start of the week, at least. Never fail to come up with a good subject, Vash!

I never tried doing this. I am worried about volume. How much urine does a full bladder hold? I am not shy about pulling over and finding a proper or even improper stop. Were I a trucker, I'd check into devices sold for quadriplegics - they are basically a rubber you put on (no catheter) with a bag attached. Done!

Empty windshield washer fluid container.

Funny thing is that it looked exactly like the RainX low temp washer fluid that was in it in the first place!

Opening isn't big enough and you have to watch out for blow back.
It was a company truck though so no worries...
