Convex side mirror

Is there a convex passenger side mirror prong-type option for my '86? Thanks

I put one on my drivers side, not a stock mirror. I wanted something to give me more side vision while on the track during a track day. It does that, but what I don't like is everything looks smaller and unless the car is close it's hard to distinguish.

My harley came with those things. Talk about unsafe. 1st thing that got replaced. Nice to know exactly where that car is, rather than have to guess.

Where did you get the mirror from? How did you mount it?

check out these guys -- https://www.only944.com/partscatalog/only/mirrors/mirror944/

944 flag mirrors use the same size glass as 911 flag mirrors -- these guys sell convex glass which you can glue over your flat mirror glass OR, carefully pry the flat glass off the mounting backing and replace (the better option as the glue holding the mirror glass onto the backing becomes brittle and fails with age

I bought one from our host 4 or 5 years ago; not sure this is the same, but it is listed here.

I bought a stick on wide angle mirror 24 years ago and after 100,000 miles and temps from 0 to 121 F it has been a stick on and forget it thing. Even when the mirror heaters are on it sill melts ice off of the mirror just fine. I think I still have the information of where I bough it all those years ago.

It was a super simple install. Clean the old mirror, peel and stick. Ta Da.

I bought this from Burco Redi-Cuts.
I just double sided taped it as I didn't want to ruin the heated mirror if I broke something trying to retro-fit.

Works like a charm.

I ordered it. Let's wait and see. What kind of tape did you use?

mak -- I'd first make sure your existing mirror glass is still SECURELY fastened to its backing -- had my original passenger mirror glass literally fall off its backing at a stop sign a few years ago -- chain only as strong as its weakest link, etc.

Convex passenger side mirror was made standard in MY1988 or 89. One of those, don't remember.

It's listed in the PET.

I have an '88 with plain glass so most likey '89
I used think double sided tape with a foam core. It's probably no more than 1.5 mm thick.
