Hello, cold you tell me where I should ask my question about my oil lines, to get the best info? I don't see where to go to make a post. Not the most intuitive site? Thanks for all you help.

You might have to use 930 107 743 12 non turbo 84-89 non turbo.

Tnx very much for info!
Mine is a 1978sc coupe, so this is an engine for a Targa?

Porscher 01-29-2015 09:45 PM

According to this it's a 911S engine, not really sure what that means.

The good new is that you got a match as it shows seem it was also fitted in the Coupe. Your VIN would confirm that:

911820001- on: Coupe

911821001- on: Targa

As for the S, they seem to be missing the C.

The first line for the 79, seem to be missing the S...

Which book is that?

Have you been on Porsche Simond site?

Engine Oil

Sorry but i have no idea about 911 Engine Oil but if you want one of the best Engine Oil then go with Bosch Engine Oil.

No it's the "Joma parts and reference catalog", think it's company from Belgium.
Anyway thanks for the info, i thought there were like 15000 made of my SC, now is "only" 2500 :) that's good news.

Looking for confirmation of an engine#: 6130557

I believe that it is a '73.5T motor but I'm not certain.

Thanks!

Hi guys
I have another one for you : 6780392, its in a car I probably cant afford but hope is the last that leaves a porsche addict.
Cheers

pors1968 02-18-2015 07:02 AM

6cyl 3.3 turbo 1978 930/60 ROW

Verax 02-18-2015 08:09 AM

My engine starts with a 7. It's suppose to be a 3.0L SC engine dropped into my 74 Targa. It's looks right and has mechanical fuel injection.

Engine#: 7318935

I've been searching every where but the number seem nonsensical. This is definitely the number marked on it. Anyone have a theory?
