Ciao Matteo,
if you dont mind me asking...quanto costo è la ricostruzione del motore? grazie, jeremy volpi |
Gotta be one of the best, if not the best car done to date on Pelican. Can't wait to see it finished up. Hate to see it leave the states but it'll be a star no matter where it resides.
|
FYI - Cyntex Performance is no longer in biz, how ever Paul Schwarz is still in the area.
|
wow great project...and what fun it will be in England.
|
England is land of bigbrother with all those speedcameras

Great britain is by far the worst.
They have cctv and speedcamera's on allmost every road and in every corner. Good for catching terrorists though. |
good point - back to the thread - when we gonna see some more shots of this beast!?!?
|
yeah...more pics! I don't have an issue with speed cameras, they are for a reason and if ya do the crime....pay the fine! =o)
Take it to the track, or open sections of unrestricted autobahn. |

Back to the thread. Nice project. |
There's gotta be a progress report soon
Soooooooo...
More stuff must have been plugged together by now. Anxious to see how things are going. |
would you like pictures of the new dash?
BTW, I'm going to post pictures of the DIFFERENCES in the early and late 930 trailing arms - there were significant changes from the pre-930 caliper ones to the ones we all know and love. Matteo's arms are early units - they are at the machinist now getting the 3.5ish" brake tabs on the rear of the arm faced and drilled for caliper mounting. As a side note, if 930 arms could be reproduced in steel for less than 1500.00 each, would there be market interest in that? |
Keith
we would love to see the pics of the new dash ;) I will come and see you next week... possibly Tuesday... with my camera.. Be ready :p |

Fantastic thread and a real inspiration!
I'm looking forward to seeing the finished product, esspecially when you come over to England. Cheers, David |
Time for an update...
Rear suspension nearly done.... http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1171329907.jpg http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1171329947.jpg http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1171329976.jpg http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1171330003.jpg http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1171330041.jpg |
NICE!!! I personally like the fuchs, especially with the color of the car and the finish on the wheels! The widths don't hurt any either...
Simply beautiful. I can't wait to see another update now...;) Thanks Matteo. You're an inspiration to us all. Mike |
Are you mounting the remote shock reservoirs there just to lower the CG?
No rear brake calipers is a great weight savings measure! You're the man. All sarcasm aside, your people are doing beautiful work. |
@Brother
Hey Paul...those don't look like they are mounted yet. Just dangling there. I'm sure they'll be zip tied somewhere. |

I know. Reference the last line. "All sarcasm aside" |
Ugh...I'm sorry. I'm usually razor-sharp and witty. :)
|
What's up with the engine? Havne't heard about that for months. Or did I miss an installment? Is it still with the good Dr. Timmons?
Looking good! Doug |
My only drag is..I *was* going to do a Mexico Blue early RSR clone. What now?
|
Silly boys.... The reservoirs are going to be mounted in the engine compartment for easy access...
Timmins is the best... I changed the specs on him twice (cam profile changes) and I had alway told him I'd drive the car up so that he could install the engine and then run and tune it in the car... Well with us moving to England I had to change the plans on him once again... But he's a great guy and he's helping me in any way he can... So he'll use a donor car and then ship us the engine for installation here... More pics (front) to come... need to go and have a glass of wine with the wife... Bought her a 993 today!!!!! |
You bought her off on letting you do this project with a 993??
|
And these are the pics of the front

|
Wow! Make sure you get your spot in Excellence, 911 and Porsche World and the rest of those magazines...
Also let us know when it will be the first official showing of this car. I would love to drive up there to see it finished. The work, dedication, and love that has gone into this car is just amazing!! |
Matteo

Looks great see "shiny bits" going onto it.
|
Hey Teo,
Would you hurry up and finish this thing already!!! Nice work! |
The next Pelicans on the Dragon is 9 months away you better be ready for it!!
Looks good Matteo. I like it a lot!! |
sorry guys but you are forgetting that this car is coming to the United States of Great Britain very shortly so you may not get to see it in the flesh........I'll make sure i post some pics of it at some of the UK shows!
|
I'm looking forward to seeing it over here!
Andy, I would love to hear more about your replica RSR. Who are you going to use to do the conversion? Cheers, David |
Are you bringing the wife's new 993 over too?
|
Not much point is there unless you plan to go onto somewhere else that has LHD cars?
|
All our cars are coming to the UK... Wife's 993, the Cayenne, the 74... and another one...
We are moving to Cobham... help me find a 4 car garage house... ;) |
