Cool, bringing the whole fleet!

http://www.rightmove.co.uk/ is the most popular property search site in the UK at the moment - you can set up email notification for houses in your spec and location, might be worth you getting that going in case you miss a good one.

Cobham is like 30 miles from me & other 911 nut-heads so you shouldn't be short of things to do.

Good luck with the rest of the build, its looking awesome.

911teo 02-14-2007 06:57 AM

I lived in England for 7 years before moving to the US. Never owned a RHD car.

RHD cars don't feel right to me... I have been on the track with Caterhams and Elises and the driving positions threw all my reference points off...

porsche911girl 02-14-2007 07:03 AM

Wow looks awesome! Keep us updated!

Momentary drag semi-off-topic: Matteo, so you never found it too difficult driving our LHD cars over there, even on the road? I ask because there's a possibility I might end up in Australia in several year's time, and I really want to bring the track car with me. I'm not worried about track driving, just the road to/and from.

911teo 02-14-2007 08:36 AM

The only problems are when u get into a parking garege and u need to lean over to get the tix... But with a car like the 911 is not a big deal.

Highways are 3 to 4 lanes... most A roads are 2 lanes.

It could be tricky on minor B-roads that are single carriageways... but then you just floor it and overtake people.... :D

Facey 02-14-2007 09:12 AM

i drive RHD cars overhear all the time for one of my buddies who imports cars from japan.

really isn't an issue i don't think.

its nice for drive through etc....they can just hand the food to your passanger.... i guess that doesn't apply to the 911, i never allow food in mine...but....

I WANT MORE PICS

-once again, looking crazy nice..... are you still getting a ford gt? my dad was minutes away from getting one about a year ago....very nice cars.

Jon Merck 02-14-2007 09:47 AM

Pictures really don't do justice on how nice this car is and the workmanship is outstanding...Zuffenhaus is making a name for themselves!

adomakin 02-14-2007 10:18 AM

Mike, find yourself a nice piece of land and I'll build you a lovely house in Cobham!

David, I'm doing most of the stuff myself with the exeption of the paint. this will be tackled by either a good friend or a relative who just so happens to own the body shop that pimp my ride UK was filmed at. (bonus!)

very nice project.

randywebb 02-16-2007 02:14 PM

much too pretty to run on a track or on the road!

vanwyk4257 02-16-2007 03:00 PM

Wow! That car is going to be simply stunning!!!

jjwood 02-16-2007 03:23 PM

Great color too. Whatever was reflecting on those body shots created a really neat effect...almost makes you want to bow down and quietly chant.

bigrubberjeep 02-16-2007 07:49 PM

So there it is, we are obviously and simply in love with the old school widebody of the 911 with fuchs to the poit where it doesnt even have to have an engine or a motor for us to admire it.

Facey 02-16-2007 11:02 PM

the wicked relfection across the car was from the polished/chrome trailer nearby

adds a realy 'artsy' feeling...which is good, like everything else done to this car.

jmz 02-17-2007 04:28 AM

simply, WOW.

911teo 02-17-2007 05:19 AM

Some little details.....

Wevo Motor Mounts

http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1171721816.jpg

The NEW 6-speed short gear ratio transmission (still with the tag)

911teo 02-17-2007 05:21 AM

The RSR style crossed strut bar....
Note the mounts... I asked Zuffenhaus to make it removable... so that I can put the groceries in the trunk when it's not on the track...

http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1171722093.jpg

911teo 02-17-2007 05:23 AM

I love the position of the shock reservoirs... easy to reach and adjust...

http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1171722184.jpg

911teo 02-17-2007 05:26 AM

A detail of the camber plates....

The front wheels 9.5x17 and tires 275/40-17 are a bit.... wide...
Because of the coil over we needed to use all the track flexibility of the 935 front suspension....

Fortunately there is a lot of camber to be dialed in... but we might have to go with narrower tires....

http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1171722371.jpg

911teo 02-17-2007 05:28 AM

Last for now....

a pic of the RSR finished Lindsey Fuchs.... the fit is perfect (11x17 with 315/35-17)...

And to think these wheels are going to go.... such a shame.

Stay tuned on that front....

Craig 930 RS 02-17-2007 07:39 AM

If ya need any tips on alignment specs......my 930 is really well set up and uses the identical sized tires you will have....

adomakin 02-17-2007 08:25 AM

three words:

move over Jack....

bigrubberjeep 02-17-2007 09:52 AM

Those wheels are going to go where? I'll "store them" for you.

911teo 02-17-2007 09:54 AM

I have made the decision to go with centerlocks RSR wheels. So the Lindsey Fuchs will go once the hubs and wheels are ready.

bigrubberjeep 02-17-2007 10:03 AM

Well, I'll be right here waiting to take them off your hands of you need some $$$

ohh.. not too fast there mate. the skills have to back the car and well, this car is really going to need some mad skills to get the most it.

BTW this car is got to be one of the most SICK cars I've looked at on this board. Nice work. These guys building her are artists and remind me of Tyson in the attention to detail. I wish I could do stuff like they do. Man, WOW!

Craig,
I would be interested to know what specs you are running? I am running a 315 rear / 245 front...
Thanks,
Taylor

budge96 02-17-2007 10:32 PM

Matteo ,what up bro ? Just spent half the nite at my job drooling over this thread ..Man what a build ,your a fortunate man ..where is the car
and for that matter have you moved yet? Is it soup yet ? the suspense
is unbearable ! PS Definetively CENTER LOCK!

Craig 930 RS 02-18-2007 07:03 AM

Taylor - What tires? What usage? Track?
Those narrower fronts require a different front specification.
