Carburetor Setup Questions.

So I just picked up a set of a Weber IDA46's for my 1981 Euro SC. The carbs came with every jet known to man...so my question is; does anyone know what they should be jetted at and set to if I am located in Omaha, NE?

Cheers,
Ben

Just a question to the carb gurus are 46 too large for a 3.0 euro?

I did my research prior to and got in contact with PMO and Rod, they both agreed that the 46's were just right for the 3.0.

No, I ran 46's on a 3.0 for a while before I built the motor up to a 3.2. No issues.

I have 40s on mine, what can you expect by going up to 46?

Not so much an issue with PMOs, or Weber 46's that have been upgraded by performance oriented.

http://www.performanceoriented.com Will answer all your carb tuning questions, look at tech 1 and tech 2 tabs.

The main limitation to using a 46mm Weber (with smaller venturies) on smaller engines in relatively mild tune are the somewhat crude, idle and progression circuits. This is another place where PMO's are FAR superior,.....
