Thanks, Marv. It seems like there are a lot of 2 week stories with this thing, (including on this thread), so I'm not too concerned about recovering just yet.

The stuff might help clear you up. Both my mom and dad (mom got it too!) are pretty much over it already. Edit: Just asked Mom! It's Ipratropium Bromide that's the stuff that helped clear the sinuses and helped with the post nasal drip that was causing him to cough. The Mucinex helped with congestion. Quote:

I was telling Denis bone broth is the way to go. We used up the turkey carcass from Thanksgiving and multiple Costco chicken carcasses from the dogs daily treat. It really does seem to do the trick!

I'm thinking of hunting down some good chicken noodle soup from one of the Jewish delis in town today. That stuff will cure cancer in some instances!

I fix a lot of things with a half hour nap each afternoon.

I've never been much of a "nap person" but if there's anything I miss about the virus, it's the naps.

I missed this thread, so I'll contribute.
I'm on day 9 or 10 of symptoms. Last Tuesday left work 10 minutes early with an impending fever, that broke over night and I went back the next 2 days. I've been working at a remote location alone anyways, so I have very little contact with others, but it also means I am putting in 8 hours standing on my feet in outdoor conditions. Worked Wednesday and Thursday, but was getting pretty beat up by the end of the day. Thursday morning had some mild cold symptoms (head pressure, body aches and my skin hurts). By Thursday evening, I was pretty uncomfortable. Friday morning I stopped and took a test on the way into work, then worked the rest of the day. Positive result came back first thing Saturday. Another positive on Tuesday. Another positive yesterday afternoon. I am on a 1 out of 10 for discomfort. Persistent sinus pressure, productive cough during the day and a dry cough at night, post nasal drip. Oh, and randomly slept 12 hours one night.

I rarely do naps. If I do a nap, I end up sleeping for far longer than I want. several hours isn't really a nap. I don't understand the cat-nap thing.

Mine started by waking me at 3AM with a wicked sore throat.
Took some of these and was amazed by how well they worked.

My g/f's father is 96. He was in the hospital for a kidney stone. They had an outbreak 2 weeks ago.
He tested positive last Thursday. He got the booster shot as well. He has no symptoms. He's back home now just dealing with the stone. A nurse is checking on him tomorrow.

I guess mine started this last time with a wicked headache, then body aches and a fever. It's been kicking my butt for almost 2 weeks. Today started to feel a bit of the old energy coming back. BTW try Zarbee's Elderberry Immune Support. It's like little chewy gummies. Their sleep chews with Melatonin work like a charm too. Knocks you out for a solid 8 hours. |

In the last week almost everyone at work has gone out with covid. I can't for the life of me figure out how I haven't got it yet. I'm vaxxed of course but that's about it. I rarely wear a mask and I'm in and out of the office all day. Sometimes I wonder if I'm asymptomatic.

I don't nap. Now I may very well go to bed before 7pm, but that's something else. I'm up at 5 am something. 7pm just out of boredom. If I've been reading for an hour and a half, I'm done with that. The TV in the bedroom left a month ago and is not coming back. I do have a laptop if I don't want to read and I hate laptops. I've got a pad too, so there's that. Yeah, with all the sickness I wonder how I'm staying healthy. Could it be that I wear this? ![]() Under my shirt or jacket with another mask hiding much of the hose. I've had this since Fall of 2020. Mask They are 20% less now than what I paid. |

LOL!
I haven't had it either. But then I'm mostly a hermit. If I get it, it's most likely going to come via my wife from the grandkids and kids. I have wondered, when I got the shots (3) I have had practically no reaction. THat makes me wonder if it would correlate to how much I would be impacted by the virus. Maybe that's an indication that I'd be very lightly impacted and may not even realize. It would be interesting to know if there was a correlation between reaction to shots and reaction to the live virus. I know that when I was in college, they decided that we all needed measels boosters, so I got one. I felt like hell the rest of the day and had a fever of almost 102º, IIRC.
