What is it with those darn Ranch Rifles? With most of us taking them to sea at one point or another, one would think Ruger would make one that floats. Mine sure didn't...

The Dalai Higgins, himself. Twelfth son of the Higgins. The flowing robes, the grace, bald… striking.
![]() Just two, but we have some feral kitty rescues that have settled in nicely and they have mean streaks a mile wide...my condolences on the Ranch. I can't seem to find another.

Went with the GP100 1705 stainless steel. Will be hitting the range soon.

Now I have a thin metal piece of gear that slides under the mattress and has a place to hang your pistol in it’s holster outside the mattress. You grab the holster. Again, single action revolver...it will not go bang unless you want it to. Don’t hate, it is great. Back in the safe when young kids are in the house for any reason. Wife’s as well. Cigar humidor works good too.
Back in the summer we went out of town and our nephew (about 29 years old) stayed over to keep the dogs. I had forgotten to tell him about a tiny .25 I have in a cigar box in TV room. He went to see if there was a cigar to smoke and found a prize.

Did someone say nightstand spoon?
![]() ![]() Cannot think of a better oh-crap-what-the-F-is-going-down than a wheel spoon. Also agree a 12 gauge is a great compliment. And a phone dialed to 911 since I live in SoCal and need legal backup. I think I should rethink the 686 as it's just too nice for this role - if ever used (pray never) it would not come back to me. |

I believe this is going to be my next spoon purchase:
![]() And a review of the spoon: https://www.19fortyfive.com/2021/05/smith-wessons-mp-r8-is-not-your-average-revolver/

Very nice!
“ Though not a particularly young cartridge, the .357 Magnum is nothing to sneeze at, and can consequently produce significant recoil. For new shooters, target practice, or weekend plinkers, the M&P R8 can also accommodate the .38 Special cartridge and offer reduced recoil and a more comfortable shooting experience.” Can’t all .357 mag spoons shoot .38 specials? |

I can't find the one I bought over twenty years ago! I didn't conceal carry so the Rugers holster is a nice leather outside the belt holster that hangs perfectly from the little wire rack. Never had an issue.

If you live in California, and you ever are forced to use a firearm in self defense, you will never see it again. This is not the case for most states, but here, NY, NJ and IL you will likely go to jail for a while too.

Far too valuable and sentimental to do that. I agree, if you ever have to use it, you may not ever see it again.

It is like making a car you love into a dedicated track car. Race cars are wear items.
