Up is up. It's an opportunity for sponsors and broadcasters to get a jump into the sport at a relatively low cost, I'm guessing. VS has been doing really well with what they have. I get every Penguins game (just about all in HD too), I get NHLnet's weekly game, and soon NBCs weekly game. Ratings in my house are way up now that I switched to DirecTV. NBC's new contract is a start. You can't pull a FOX and dump your shows because they don't have a good rating immediately.

ah the good old days of the Fox Glowpuck!

Only caught the 3rd but that was some good hockey right there.
Pens fought tooth and nail for that win. Game 7 should be a good one. |

When is it? |
Friday night @ 8 Snipe :D

Home ice has helped the Pens. They won't have it in game 7. It could go either way but I still think the Wings will take it.

I thought Pitts played their best game of the series tonight. They really did a great job of clogging up the shooting lanes and blocking the Red Wings shots. They also did a nice job denying the Wings forecheck up until late in the 2nd period when the Wings finally took over and outplayed them but it was too little too late.
The officials did not help the Wings with their non calls. The penalty on Zetterberg in the first period was not the correct call. Osgood played very well for the Wings keeping them in. The Pens are a much better team at home than they are on the road...so we will see what happens in game 7. This is the first time the Wings have had to play a game 7 during their recent string of Cup runs. |
A home win for Detroit will be all the better, can't wait till Friday.

May the best team win Friday. |
whatever happens this is a win for the hard core fans of hockey. game 7 for the Cup, this is gonna be good!

Its going to be a tough game to watch, as if the others weren't. If the Pens can keep the scoring down and get a goal or two lead, it looks good. If they go down at any point more the 2 scores, its over baby, just like game 5. When you put the Wings on the offensive mode, they give the Pens more opportunities back the other way. What happened to Malkin last night also. He was doing a lot of standing and looking after he had the puck. Kind of giving up at times. He needs a big game in a big way. Great series non the less and I give Detroit all the credit if they win. I like their hoser coach also, Eh!
|
This is going to be one of those games where every moment is a nailbiter. It is good for the City of Detroit to have that economic boost on Friday, win or lose there will be a ton of people going downtown.

It's either going to be the changing of the guard or a true dynasty is established, (if it already hasn't been). Last chance for those peppers!! 1 Game series |
4 Cups in the past 11 seasons, 6 Cup appearances in the past 14 seasons... the record for the most consecutive 100 point regular seasons with the past 9 seasons in a row...18 straight playoff appearances, the longest streak in current sports... win or lose, they are a dynasty.

I like the Wings.
I see the red uniforms and pretend that they are the Flames..... I honestly could care less who wins, I just hope it is an entertaining game. |
