Pretty close to having our matchups. Favorites have to be the Pens & Blackhawks.

Sure looks like at this point. We'll have to wait & see if the LA Kings pull their act together again & basically pound on other playoff teams on their way to a repeat. Personally, I can't stand the Kings & their 'street fight' brand of hockey & hope the buggers fall on their collective a$$es. My Canucks are just not deep & tough enough to go the distance so I'll take the Hawks over the Pens in 6.

Cheers
JB

Pretty cool factoid. The Pittsburgh area had the highest local ratings in the NHL this season. Buffalo was 2nd & Boston 3rd.

Pens start tonight. If they stay focused there is really no reason they should not reach the finals. Dare I say even without Crosby. Although Fleury would have to play lights out. He needs to regardless actually.

That must have excluded Canadian teams....

Ya, no kidding eh.

Joe, Saying that Jerome has no class is wrong, there was no deal with Boston, nothing put to paper. It was wishful thinking, he hates the Bruins, everybody knows that, he wants to play with Sid and win it all, just like they did on the winning goal at the Olympic's, maybe you forgot about that. Sour grapes saying he has no class, com'on Joe, your bigger than that. SmileWavy

If he hates the Bruins then why did his agent put them on his trade list? It is pretty clear (to me) that he jerked the Flames around.

You boys are correct...

Must-see hockey: Penguins among top-rated sports teams since

Still pretty doggone impressive being the highest rated team in the US for local tv.

OK come on, predictions. I know I'm a homey but would there be a better final than the Blackhawks/Penguins? Barring 'your' favorite team.

GO PENS

+1
Yeah I know that nothing is a done deal until the paperwork is signed but
-He had a list of acceptable teams he would move to
-He agreed to an offer and then backed out on a verbal deal.

A man's word is his bond. Breaking his word was not illegal but he pulled a low class move. He knew his move was a highly watched event and by backing out at the last move makes him a bum. I'd say that about anyone who does the same.

Well the Pens showed up for a 2nd game and Voucon played very well. Interesting decision for Bylsma in game 6.

What do you ruffians have to say about other series'?

Buckterrier 05-14-2013 08:43 AM

WOW, give the Brunes their due. What a come back. Feel bad for the Leafs. Was watching on NESN when the announcer said the only way the Brunes could come back was by an epic collapse by the Leafs. Unfortunately for Toronto it was epic, going down in Boston sports history along with Patys' snow game etc.
Should be an awesome series between them and the Rangers. Lunquist is as hot as a Latin Playboy bunny. Love that Overcheckin was ousted. Man he is dirty. To bad as talented as he is he resorts to that.

GO PENS

Still waiting for OV to win something of significance...

Hawkeye's-911T 05-14-2013 11:02 AM

He's saving it for the Olympics

I get to use this every year! I love it.

Now I want to see Iguana go down and realize that he picked the wrong team.

Buckterrier 05-24-2013 07:23 PM

Penguins released the Krackin the last two games, played like they're capable of.
Bring on the Brunes.

GO PENS!!!!

Por_sha911 05-24-2013 07:31 PM

Well just wait a minute. We have to finish off the Rangers first.
Now that we get out of MSG the Rangers will start getting called for penalties again.

Buckterrier 05-24-2013 07:37 PM

I'm sure they'll be taken care of tomorrow Joe. As long as Rask keeps his head out of his behind ;)

Incredible non-call for HS on Chara. But how about the goalie interference call against Chi?

I'll be happy if he stays on his feet...

^ NHL is getting as bad as the NBA. Being a Detroiter, I am used to seeing Homer get called for phantom Goalie interference calls. I was at the game and believe it was a make up call for the charging or boarding call that was missed on Franzen that led to their first goal
