From your mouth to the god of your choices ears!!!!!

I honestly do not profess to know who will win the series, but it's always fun to talk a little smack. ;)

Tim

Except for the game against the Pred's when they were on the ropes and he scored the OT winner. Straight onto the ice from his five minute major that should have cost them the game.

Chicago is not a lock. Too many variables. But yes I agree he might finally have guessed right. But I hope not.

5 Goals...

Well this could be a high scoring game.

Glad to see that the ref let the boys play. Of course if you are Blackhawk fans you might not fully agree with the refereeing.

m21sniper 05-29-2010 09:28 PM

Leighton was horrible tonight. He was the difference.

Yea, just a bit. I guess every broken composite stick, aside from breaking in the act of shooting, now has to be penalty.

I think game 1 was an aberration. The goal-tending has to improve.

Way too many...

... Broken stick.

There is a company in Canada that came up with super light fiber string that will fill the hollow sticks making them more resistant without affecting the weight.

Adjusted it. Pending 'in-situ' testing.

About 55 shots, 11 goals, three goalies. Nervous goalies anyone? Their previous playoff save % was about .920 before last night.

Who does Philly go to in game 2?

m21sniper 05-30-2010 08:10 AM

The flyers have now lost at least 6 straight Stanley cup finals games.

Por_sha911 05-30-2010 08:45 AM

Maybe Richards and Pronger's dirty tricks won't work in this series. Both goalies were performing on minor league level. Sure was exciting. Almost like a basketball game. Shoot, goal. Shoot, goal. Shoot, save, rebound, goal...

m21sniper 05-30-2010 08:56 AM

I felt like the flyers were the better team in the game, but the flyers goaler was le terribile.

LOL

Boucher for sure.

m21sniper 05-30-2010 12:13 PM

Leighton had 3 shutouts in the last round, i don't know how they don't go back to him after that.

JJ 911SC 05-30-2010 02:18 PM

... reminding me, I'm still playing for it.

He is going to go with Boucher because it will decide who will be the goalie for the rest of the serie.

With Boucher in, if you guys win game 2, you are ahead of the game (split away from home) and he staying in. If you loose, no big things (almost expect to loose away from home) and Leighton is back in.

Voilas, but then again I was wrong about the Habs...

JJ 911SC 05-31-2010 03:54 PM

Well I'm on a loosing streak...

Another of my prediction down the drain.

Not good for real Flyers fans as I'm also hoping that they would win the cup:rolleyes:

m21sniper 05-31-2010 08:02 PM

2 very, very close games, but a 2-0 series lead for the Hawks.

The flyers will need to win the next 2 at home, or it's over. The flyers have now lost something like 7 straight stanley cup finals games.

gprsh924 05-31-2010 09:10 PM

The hawks are better on the road than at home. I'm sticking with them in 5. Philly picks up one of the home games, then Chicago clinches back at the Madison Madhouse

m21sniper 05-31-2010 09:54 PM

Maybe.

flatbutt 06-01-2010 06:53 AM

I think Philly has been flirting with the edge of penalties while the 'Hawks have been over that edge a bunch. The Flyers been lucky in more than a few instances. Pronger is playing really hard in front but it won't take much for the ref to start calling him. And Byfuglien is right there with him. If the refs get the word it won't be hard to start making ALOT of calls. Heck in one instance in front of Leighton I saw Pronger cross check Byfuglien 3 X and Byfuglien slashed Pronger 2X, in like 5 seconds! But it has been some good hockey so far. Even the Don likes it.

If philly holds service at home this could go 7.
