This has definitely been the best Finals I have ever watched! Hats off to BOTH teams, but there can only be ONE 2013 Stanley Cup Champions!!! See you guys in October :D Randy |

Congrats to the Blackhawks. They earned it. The B's were playing hurt and tired and didn't have enough in the tank (or health) to play the level of hockey it takes to hoist the cup. When the Hawks scored the tying goal I actually shut the TV off (I know this was the borderline unpardonable sin but in my heart I already I knew the B's were done) :( You could see how worn out Chara, Berg, Jagr, Marchand were. I went upstairs to check the local news online and saw the headline the Hawks won. I didn't expect the end to be that quick. Oh well.
Buck: I apologize for hurting your feeling by suggesting that we start a new thread for the 2013 Cup finals. I thought it odd that we kept the same thread thru 4 years of cups and figured we could do a new one each year. I didn't expect you to take it personal. I'm sure many are happy that the Bruins lost because they smacked down their fav team in the playoffs. Enjoy yourselves now because the Bear will be back this fall. :p |
Don't be so hard on yourself, after all the Bruins did win the College World Series.
|
Yeah, I was cheering for Boston, but the speed Chicago had was just too much for them. The playoffs where good enough to ALMOST make me remember how I said I was so made at the lockout that I wasn't going to watch!!!!;)
|
Chicago had the same speed as the Pens but they Bruins had more rest and better health.

The Pens tried beating the Broons at their game. Obviously that didn't work. They actually out hit the Broons in a game or two. Chicago played their game for the most part and that's why they won the series. Found out today that Bergeron played game 6 with a punctured lung also?? Tough or nor very bright? |
I am stunned that this didn't go 7. But absolutely a phenomenal series, Well done to both sides and congratulations to Chicago.

Wow. Isn't Jerome Iginla a great guy?
What in the world are the Bruins thinking? Do they think he will be able to get along with the team after the way he snubbed them a few months back? Maybe they are rewarding him for deflecting in the series winning game 4 goal. In other news, Matt Cooke moves out of Pittsburg. Bubye. |

I thought he would have pick Boston for a real good shot at the cup. Mind you Detroit has a lot of "Swedes" going for them. |

Thanks Hawkeye, I hadn't seen that but I like it. I think Gillis days are numbered, I'm still in shock over the Schneider trade, and now Jerome's a Bruin, what's gonna happen next? What's the skinny on Horton?

Dear Board
I have no doubt that Vinny and Ray are the missing links for the Flyers I expect them to be the odds on favorite for the cup next year. Sincerely, A. Nother Yearwithnocup |
