I know one game does not a series make - but the 'oinkers' were looking good until last night when the wheels came off. I am very surprised at the Hawks facing elimination. The Preds are obviously a far better team than I first thought. As previously mentioned, I ain't big on anything from Trawna but the Leafs are fun to watch & you can just hear the Caps sphincters tightening & them squeezing their sticks. Tonight's game should tell the story. Go Leafs!

Babcock is a winner, veterans may not like playing for him, their loss. The Wings now know better.

Babcock is a future hall of famer. The team is too young. Not enough experience and they newbies tend to pull an Ovechkin when the pressure comes on. Lets see if they start gripping the stick too tightly when there are 5 or 6 games played (or worse in later rounds).
The same can be said for Pastrnak and the wonder kid McAvoy. I think it was smart of Cassidy to pair up McAvoy with Chara. The old man will shepherd the kid along and benefit from letting the kid do the extra leg work chasing stuff. We desperately need Krug back. Tomorrow night's game in Nash-burg against Chee-ka-go will either be a barn-burner or a snooze-fest. Usually a team down 3-0 will amp up the adrenaline and win #4 but then crash in #5. A sweep would be hoot for the Preds. |
Well, my Flames were roasted by the Ducks and punched out in 4.
Some positive things is that they hung in there every game and played well. The younger players while they played hard they were ineffective at times against the more seasoned Ducks... Out coached? I would say most definitely. On the other hand, the only reason the Flames made it to the playoffs was because they were well coached and had a great run with a hot goalie. Their downfall in this series was stupid penalties. Still for a young club to go down in four one goal games speaks well for their future with a few modifications. Battle of Alberta on hold for another year.... |
Dumb penalties and poor goaltending...

Chicago swept in 4....
My bracket would have been seriously damaged at this point... Pens are moving on. That isn't a big surprise. At least the jackets didn't get punched out in 4. |
yeah my bracket is toast.

Well the Preds shredded my bracket on the West but there is still a chance at a free Cup final ticket in Nashville. Which reminds me, great game tonight in Ottawa

I'm 1 for 3 in first round in the West. Pitiful.
|
Well, hopefully I'll still be in after tonight's game...
I was looking so much for a Bruins Habs series, maybe next year. |

The Edmonton Oilers are on to the next round.....:)

Oh well, there's always next year. The Bruins have all summer to get their defense healthy again.

I can't publicly admit that I would ever root for the Rangers but I think they have a better chance at knocking out Cindy and his group. The top half of my bracket was totally wrong. http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1493002854.jpg pitiful! |
