Like most people, my brackets have been blown to bits. I went two for four in both the east and the west. I have no shot on the west side of the bracket since I had the Hawks going to the finals.
I am looking forward to the Ducks and the Oilers series. Too bad the games will be on so late I wont see much of it. Leaf's Oilers two teams to be reckoned with in the coming seasons. My Flyers are destined to be mediocre for another decade. |

Canucks are in the worst shape of any NHL team, except maybe Buffalo. No one wants to do what needs to be done....

Sorry, couldn't pass that up. they have a massive job ahead and somebody needs to put the shovel in the dirt to bury the past and build a new foundation. |
They need to go. Trade, buyout, retire, whatever. Fresh start. GM is spineless.
The used to be great players (look up 5 on 5 points, best seasons in the last decade). They are no longer great, they are an anchor.... |
My GUESS and its a GUESS judging from my first round results
Caps over Pens Rangers over Sens Preds over Blues Ducks over Oilers Funny the only match up I really feel strongly about is the Rangers over the Sens and as a fan I would rather see the Sens. I think the others are a pickem. 3 out of 4 series goes 7 games? Rinne over Allen? .... I would think so but Allen was pretty darn good in round 1. I think the Ducks may be the team this year, they're playing really well right now and the Oilers are young and got their playoff win in their first venture to the playoffs. Caps and Pens, I went with the Caps for two reasons. I really hate the Pens and maybe its Ove's year to get to the finals? Pens are getting kind of thin on the blue line too. Like I said... just my 2 cents |
Caps, Rangers, Preds, Ducks

On the other hand since the Rangers beats the Haps, I'm with them all the way just my 2 pennies :):D:) |
Smashville wins the West
Penguins win the East And then it's too close for me to call |

Rooting for the Caps, would like to see Trotz win a cup and Ove crush Cindy's dream of another.

+1 on the Caps

The Pens/Caps could go either way. Probably 6 or 7 games.
Smashville will either take it in 5 and go to the final or be done in 5. Disclaimer: almost everything I predicted so far is wrong. Hoping for this: http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1493250820.jpg (of course she does this win lose or draw) |
To all the bye gones... C'est La Vie.
No game 7s but a whole lot of OTs. Good luck to all the 'Elite Eight". GO PENS |

And of course you have the Pens. To the disappointment of Joe, Sid is playing a 200 ft. game. Joe can only fantasize about having such a talented and focused player on his beloved Brunes. But Joe, for being such a good Christian you sure have a lot of hate built up. It's really not healthy. Fleury is in 09' form. You have to give Sully all the credit in the world. He is pushing all the right buttons. He took a talented but lost team last year to the Cup. He is doing an even better job this year. I'm glad the Brunes gave up on him years ago. The only thing that will keep the Pens from a second consecutive Cup is injuries or themselves. GO PENS |
Could some of the pundits throw some light on this: What the funk is with Corey Perry?? Not that he was ever a favourite of mine but with his play of late, he doesn't appear to be even close to 'mailing' it in. The oinkers are looking very much like a serious team & in all likelihood should take out the Ducks - say in 6.
Once again the Canuckleheads slipped to 5th spot in the draft lottery. The NHL has to re-visit this whole process as the 3 'notsobad' teams get to pick ahead of the real sorry-a$$ed bottom feeders. Must be due in part to Buttmunch Bettman's perverted sense of parity. Cheers JB |
