Yeah, and Vise Grips was a brand of locking pliers.

Yup. :D

It's like Q-tips. Brand name now has become the common name for any adjustable wrench.

Jim Richards 05-16-2012 01:48 PM

Back then, they actually carried the Crescent name on the handle of the wrench.

RKDinOKC 05-16-2012 01:48 PM

AND the actual Cresent brand adjustable wrenches no longer have the brand name on them!

Yeah, one of the ones I was using did, the other did not. I think it was a craftsman.

If that fails I will do Jefferson Airplane. Or Chicago Transit Authority. Or Santana...:rolleyes:

Max. do a report on the song from the Stones. From the 1973 album Goat Head Soup, the song Star Star. It would be a big hit! ;)

Evening guys.
Glen that ad was too funny. :)

Man I can catch a fukcing break.
Beth stuffed the Mercedes into a fence at work. She said it is scratched. I know what that means.
I will wait for her to get home before I go completely mashuga................

Jim Richards 05-16-2012 02:33 PM

Hey Rick. I'm on my way home from the salt mine. The city is chock full of tourists.

Jim Richards 05-16-2012 02:34 PM

Sorry to hear about the car.

GH85Carrera 05-16-2012 03:21 PM

That sucks about the car.

We had a lady at the job I had 10 years ago that was always smacking into things. Every corner and both bumpers were smashed. Somehow it was never her fault, or so she said.

Thanks Glen, It made me giggle like a school girl :D

Morning all

It was a busy day for me at work. We have a customer with the most stupidly complex AutoCAD DWG file I have ever seen. They want us to drop it on top of a photo of their complex. That part is normal and we do it all the time. There are some parts that just do not want to import properly. I could have built it from scratch in less time than I have spent trying to import the file.

All it really is is the boundary of the facility, and some annotation. I hate AutoCAD!

That one is typical of what Will Rogers said about humor. It is funny as long as it is happening to someone else.

Similar story when I was attached to the USAF for a couple of years :D Until then they where plain old adjustable spanners

Have to agree Glen. It'd have to be one of the most non-intuitive CAD package out there. I hate working with it and all I do is markups.
