Good Thursday morning everyone.

I saw a rare event last night. My wife was in the kitchen and she was cooking food. I should have taken a picture. Since we are having three guests that are her friends she was cooking some onions, green peppers and getting chicken strips ready. Tonight we are having fajitas. Cool.

Indians speaking as Australians. Pretty funny.

One of my wife's co-workers is from India. He has the thick accent. He had a problem with his Dell computer and called the tech support line. Of course he gets some guy with a even thicker accent that says his name is Bob. He could not understand "Bob" at all and finally asked him what area Bob was from. He finally admitted he was in India and he was from the same region. They started speaking in the same dialect of Punjabi. Everyone in the office told him he was cheating.

I have been using the same dentist for 37 years. We know each other fairly well after all those years. One time when he was waiting for my Novocaine to kick in I fell asleep in the chair. Heck there is nothing to do except stare at the same ceiling I have looked at for years. It seemed like a good time for a nap. It freaked him out the first time. He figured I had passed out. Now he is used to it.

He teaches on Tuesdays at the OU School of Dentistry and he had a student that wanted to observe. I did not care and my dentist told the student I was the only patient he has that falls asleep in the chair. Most patients are very tense and wide awake. I am there for him to help me, not hurt me. The chair is comfortable.

I did that once in a hospital setting. The nurse came in to give me a mild sedative during a surgery prep. She nudged me to open my eyes and told me what she was going to do. I looked at her and said you woke me up to tell me that I was getting a shot? Are you nuts? She was not a happy camper.

Nurses just love to wake people up and stick a needle in. Especially in a hospital. At least it seems that way.

I have fallen asleep at the dentist as well.

My son will getting his first filling next week from the same dentist that installed my wife's braces when she was a child. He and his staff are very good. I showed Jake a video of what he is going to get done. He now has a renewed interest in caring for is choppers!

I've had lots of dental work over the years because I didn't care for mine as I should have. I want my kids to learn from my mistake.

Always fall asleep at dentist, especially if I can get the happy gas. Once came to pitching a tent. She told me I was her best patient.

She plays country and western music, and sings along with it while she is working.

I knew a Chinese guy in college that knew a decent amount of Punjab. Everyone would always get him to handle stuff that involved calling tech support and he always did it incredibly calmly. (If I have to call tech support, the words 'don't make me bring democracy to your ****ty little country' inevitably lead my mouth)
Then this one day, he got on the line with a particularly dense tech support guy. It was on speakerphone so he could have both hands free to try to fix the stupid computer. It ended up with the tech support screaming at him in broken English and Punjab and him screaming back in English Punjab and mandarin......it was friggin hilarious!
