Morning Rick. Summer weather starts here tomorrow. I'd just as soon we skip it and move on to fall. I only enjoy two seasons in DC, spring and fall.

I don't enjoy any seasons in DC but you know what I am talking about.
As much as I hate cold, I love hot that much

Another 90 degree day here. I have one honey do project that was just dumped on me. Nothing too hard, just get fetch a 20 foot extension ladder that my wife wants for her nephew. 20 bucks is s good price. I just never want to need or use a 20 foot extension ladder.

The local indoor range has requested that I not whistle 'Don't worry, be happy' while shooting....apparently it makes people uncomfortable

Apparently Stijn likes to yell "Get Some" at the range

Have 4 gables on my house so also have a long ladder. It's one of those folding extendable Little Giants so it works as a short ladder as well. Typically use it twice a year. Once to put the big wreath on the gable over the garage door, and then again to take it down. Happy Freakin Holidays.

If a little whistling made them uncomfortable. Laugh maniacally BEFORE each time you shoot, then empty the gun in rapid fire. That should unhinge them.

Morning Y'all
grrrrrrrrrrrrrr
yeah I have a feeling it is gonna be one of those days. I woke up to the sound of a cat trying to catch a mouse in my bedroom, huge cat+small mouse= lots of crashing, and on the trip to the coffee IV I stepped on half a lizzard, I guess one that isn't as fast as a small mouse.

Morning...

Pepper has brought me June bugs, and a lizard, but no other bugs, spiders, snakes, rodents, or birds yet.

Reuben tangled with a toad once again last night. I have never know a dog that did not learn the lesson the toads will make you froth at the mouth and likely taste real bad. I think he likes the spas suck high he gets. We may need to find him a support group for toad lickers.

Reuben must have ancestors from Toad Suck, Arkansas. We bought him from a highly regarded breeder in Tulsa. If she got some stock from just a few miles furter east it is possible.

We had a little rain on Sunday. Got some yard work done. Ordered a new playset for the kids. On sale for almost $400 off and they need something new. Jacob doesn't see why it can't go next to the pool.

If I owned a range I wouldn't care what tunes you whistled as long as you were safe and people should pay attention to their own lane.

Saw Travis Haley do the 2-2-4-2-2 drill in 1.6 seconds. Of course it was only 10 yards.

In other news, a local deputy pulled a group of 24 bicyclists over and ticketed them all for running a stop sign. I say buy that guy an extra donut.

Back when I was in 4th grade we had to pass a safety test to be able to ride our bicycles to school. Some of it was agility and control, but there was also a mocked up neighborhood with all the traffic signs including stop signs that you had to obey. You also had to go to the local Fire Station and get a license for you bike. It was basically to record you serial number, I think it was $1.00.

The boy and girl with the best score on the test from each school went to a city competition. Then the best from each city went to State competition. I got 4th in the State. 1st place was a new Schwin Apple Crate. 4th place was $20 gift certificate at your local bike shop.

Spent my $20 on accessories...side baskets, a speedo with odometer, rear view mirrors, and headlight.

Company I work for is hosting a bicycle training course for employees and family all of June and July. Participate and you get 15% off at a local bike shop.

We also had Driver's Ed when I went to HS.
