I had a client ask for a price quote, and they are a previous customer. He had to have an official invoice from us as the invoice. It is a different division of a large company. I emailed the invoice, and he said, since thay are in a different state for their division, use that address. No problem, I revised it.

Then he lets me know they are a subsidiary and I need to change the quote to be changed to show that name and address. The name of the company is really long and it does not even all fit in the name field of QuickBooks, so I had to abbreviate it some.

If they have to have the name just right I will have to use Photoshop to make the name field longer and fake it.

We don't care who it is for, we will work for anyone in the USA, and as long as they pay their bill we will love them long time!

We have a house cleaning lady come every two weeks, on Wednesday mornings. It is amazing how fast the dogs see the signs that she must be coming. We have to "de-clutter" countertops and Mrs. Carrera insists the trash is all collected and emptied. Don't ask me why, it is her deal. The dogs go into full alert. She sure ain't sneaking in. She of course like to give the dogs a treat, and they like that, and pretty much insist on it before she can get started. Some very subtle things set them into full alert. They are very observant.

I received an email from a customer that wants to switch to paying us electronically, via ACH. OK, great, money shows up in my account and no check to photograph with my cell phone to deposit the check.

The email has an attached PDF that I fill out, and the instructions are clear. To receive electronic payment, I MUST print the form on paper, and put it in an envelope and use the US post office to deliver it to them. So 100% analog system to set up electronic payment. Sure, that makes sense. At least they did not ask me to FAX it.

I have a few vendors that want me to pay them via ACH. Easy enough, I just need their bank routing and account number and I can do that.

Like the aluminum it will be slippery when wet.
I mop it with simple green after every race.
Epoxy with the flakes for texture. It was a family project. Daughter masked the AL trim, wife cut in, I rolled and the 12 year old did the flakes. It is an engineered wood floor. I figured with the bikes and mini-jeep it would be good to get that in before them. Will paint the walls when it is nice out again.

One of my friends painted the floor in his three car garage. Since it was not new construction the paint folks he hired used a grinder on the floor to grind off a thin layer of concrete, then acid etched the floor. Then put down the paint.

It still lifted when he parked his car with hot tires on it. He spent a lot of money to have it done. I just have the original concrete floor and a lot of stains in the work bay from the sloppy and slow mechanic that works on cars there.

Yeah in the 2 car garage.
Painted it with a non epoxy paint that lasted a few years.
Painted it with a nice epoxy paint that lasted a few more years.
Recently covered the floor with plastic tiles sitting on weed barrier cloth to reduce the plastic tile noise.
Also where one car is parked we have a large rubber mat under the car that we can roll up and remove when we host races on the 4 lane slot car track.

Wow. This Thursday night football game is terrible to watch. It's like a race between who's the worse team.

I got to drive past the entrance to Willow Springs once. I wished I could take a few laps but the 911 was stuffed to the gills with our luggage and my wife was in the passenger seat. She really did not want to stand around for that, and the gates were padlocked.

Saw a guy with a Willow Springs sweatshirt on this morning. I recognized the track map on the back.

I think the tough part about driving Willow is the lack of reference points. It is flat forever out there. See that small one-story building about 5 miles away? Yeah, point your car at that.

At least no one wants to build houses in such a beautiful part of California, so the neighbors ain't gonna complain about noise. Edwards AFB likely makes enough noise anyway.

I spent a few hours yesterday filling out silly paperwork for a company that wants a simple othhophoto of their property. They sent a 9 page contract, and wanted to know about professional liability, or EEOC hiring policy, and it had an entire section about hauling military grade jet fuel on their facility. All we are going to do is fly over the site, and make a pretty picture. It will be geo-referenced, but not a map as they are not ordering a survey. We would have to charge about 20 times more for a true and accurate map. We can do that, and we would love to, but we were not asked for that. That requires a surveyor, and his stamp goes on the map.

We have never hauled military grade jet fuel anywhere for anyone, and that has nothing to do with a Cessna 182T. We will not touch the ground, or enter their facility. Just fly over it. We can fly over it anytime we want and there is nothing they can say about it, as they don't own the airspace above the facility.

Yeah that reference point didn't work for me either.
Danny Mckeever ran the Celebrity Toyota race at Long beach and the Willow springs school years ago.
He gave me a simple tip for exiting T8 and setting up for T9.
Track out T8 to the outside edge of the track, get the car to follow the outside radius as you exit T8 and enter T9.
As the car is turning slightly to follow the outside arc start looking for the apex of T9.
Simple but it works for me, I like references close to the track too.
