Yea, dry heat was not the issue. One of our Customers is in Phoenix. He said there recent 115+ heat is sort of tolerable in the shade. He said just minutes in full sun can cause 1st degree burns and the sun will heat you skin above scalding temp. We were nothing like that fortunately.

Well F1 qualifying was interesting but fairly predictable. Haas did really great.

Great results for HAAS amazing finish for them.

We are cleaning the fish environments. First we tackled the koi pond out back, and The bosses wife had to go wade around in the pond to clean the bearded alga. We used to get a nice chemical fix for it. They can’t sell it anymore because of restrictions on selling poisonous chemicals in containers like they used. So now we gave a mess with the alga. We got that cleaned up and now we are working on the indoor aquarium. Golly what fun.
In between I am slaving away under the thumb of the mean boss. We did a project for the FAA of their campus. It is just a pretty picture to hang on their wall so no map accuracy standards to meet, just make it look good.

I installed a backup camera on the Z today. I also ran wires up the A pillar for the rear view mirror that displays the b/u camera video. I’ll wait to finish the install until the interior is mostly back together. I started installing the firewall insulator pad (1 of 3 pieces), but need to quit so I can walk the dog. Woof!

Been a horrible weekend. Having problems with the Cadillac surgery thing. Vision went from 20/20 back to 20/50. Putting more drops if and going back to eye doc tues.

Thanks for rescuing it. It was partially your fault!

We need more funny and interesting people posting in the thread!!

I got up early thing morning to work on the sprinkler system. It is in the hig 70s so the temp is nice, BUT the humidity is just nuts. 93% humidity according to my weather my Vantage Vue weather station. Early on I stepped in the very dewy grass and and then on the concrete sidewalk. an hour later the wet footprint was still there on the sidewalk and the sky is clear and the sun is well above the horizon. The footprint was in the shade, but still it is supposed to evaporate!

It is just nuts. It is supposed to get back to a lower and normal humidity soon. This is like Savannah, GA was when we went in August. One day the heat index was 135 while we were there.

Morning all. Pressures washed the front fence yesterday. Hoping it will dry out enough to stain on Wednesday.

Hi Azzy! Hi guys. Great morning here...hanging out at the bagel & coffee shop in the harbor. My wife deserted me since Thursday so she and her sister could play tourists in San Diego. My pseudo-bachelor days end this afternoon. At least I accomplished a good amount of work on the 280Z these past few days.

Jim, do you ever not have a great morning out there? Sure you have a cloudy day or rain, but it is't 120 or -15 or snowing or freezing rain!

Glen, at least the 172 you don't have to pull fuel out when flying with just two in 100* weather.

Everyone else, happy Monday.

Yea, right now we have a leased 172 locally. It is will fly with three guys on a hot day, but it is not fast, but it is way faster than the 152. The 182 we are getting close to buying is like a new 911 in comparison to my old 914. Either one gets the driver to a destination.

Greetings for the first Monday of a new month. And yes it is summer.

As a kid we kept a flat bottom boat on our back flagstone patio. It rested upside down on wooden saw horses. The front seat on one, the rear seat on another. We had a small kid sized picnic table that was under the center seat with the seat making a great shelf. The john boat was a dark green metal and the patio was on the south side of the house. There were no trees shading the patio or boat. We even rigged up sheets and blankets for walls making it a metal roofed tent so there wasn't even any air circulation. The summers were not any cooler then than they are now. It is a wonder we didn't cook our brains in the summer heat.

My current back yard is on the east side of the house and there are enough trees that the entire back yard has some shade most of the day.

The 152 won't fly with two normal guys and fuel on a hot day.

You should be good as long as you got all the stripper glitter cleaned up.

Could always have a little party that includes some stripper glitter to cover the evidence. It doesn't take much to get "everywhere."

One of the popper party favor things works great. As soon as she walks in set it off and say Welcome Home!
It's festive and covers up the stray glitter!
