You are a little late. The day already sucks. One day I am going to rip out all the wireless units and burn them.

As far as management and how they work they are actually pretty good. Then they up and go off the deep end and the local boot files get corrupt. Then comes putty, tftp, reboot, update, reboot...

Rick, it was 91 here today. One degree under the record high. We are supposed to get some normal weather after today and be in the 80s and 70s for highs.

Good Friday morning. TGIF.

Rick we only seem to send crappy weather your way. A cold front came in from Kansas (I suspect they got it from Nebraska and it started in Canada) and it is pushing mostly south. Dang Canadian's hoard the cool weather all summer and then send down ice and S*** storms in the winter.

It's FRIDAY! Even a cold front blowing into town won't dampen my enthusiasm for the approach of another weekend. Bring it on!

Telecom guy is dropping by this morning to hardwire some Gigabit networking around the house. Gotta be ready for internet access goin Gigabit.

While enjoying the recline feature of my lazy-boy the other day my iPhone rang. My iPhone was on my desk in the other room, but my iPad mini was on the side table next to the Lazy-boy. The iPad was showing the incoming call. In true Lazy-boy fashion I answered the phone call with the iPad mini. It was like using a GIANT iPhone. Didn't know it would do that.

I've also noticed incoming calls show up on my laptop screen. Haven't tried to answer a call with the computer, but assume if the iPad works, the laptop would too. Think it uses my wireless network to make the iPad, or Laptop a remote for the phone like a bluetooth.

Now I'm going to have to research on how to move a call around or if that is even possible.

The call answering is a function of Facetime and an apple ID. Looks like I can tranfer an in progress call back to the iPhone, but don't see any instructions anywhere for going to other way.

My wife was astonishd the first time she received a call and her iPad was in her hands already. She just answered it with no issues on her iPad. It is easy to make and receive Facetime or regular calls on an iPad.

I remember vividly the movie 2001 when he made a video phone call and I thought way back then (1968) how cool that would be. Now I can do it any time with Apple devices and I could care less.

I bet the young-uns that are dating are loving facetime. I missed it by 40 years.

Think the kids today just text and don't bother with voice or video calls. People could overhear part of your conversation.

So, my oldest brother. Bob the UFO guy, has been sending me these links to buy plans to build a "Tesla Electricity Generator." Claims he has talked to people that have built one and it works.

Well, I applied some google to the subject and found the only people that claim it works are those associated with the sale of the plans. Found it is basically a crystal radio so produces some voltage, but no useable current. Told Bob what I found and he says what I found is just the big energy producing companies trying to keep people from making free electriciay, it's a conspiracy. Told him he wasn't very familiar with Capitalism...If it worked someone would be building and selling them, not just plans that can supposedly be scaled up.

The best result of that conversation is that I have not received any wacky emails from Bob since.

Got up this morning, went down stairs, sat down on the couch and got stung at the base of my spine by a wasp. That really really sucked.

I've gotten stung by wasps on 4 separate occasions. Each time reaction was worser until the last one. Think the reaction was minimal because it was on top of my head and their ain't much flesh there. Each time my vision got blurry for 4 days, then went to 20/20 for a month. My vision is normally 20/25.
