Maybe Brumos bought one? Anyway, just a thought.

And BTW, beautiful build.
Don't remember Brumos buying one but Northlake P+A in suburban Atlanta sold the Beige Fittipaldi car 9114600100 -interesting read on GOOGLE about it with engine # but I'm not smart enough to add the link here- a little help ?

My guess is that the race engine in the car was traded with the RS engine to make the tired out chassis street drivable.

There is an over-sided 964 squirter that is appropriate for higher heat engines.
Thanks for sharing that. Much appreciated!

I think the oversized 964 squirter is the one that was used in the 993 twin turbo engine?

Henry, I noticed you are running pressure fed tensioners on this engine. I assumed you weren't a fan of these as you prefer the 930 tensioner. What gives?

Every engine project has it's own character. I prefer 930 tensioners with Supertec tensioners arm and chain savers whenever concurs aesthetics is appropriate or if the customers budget dictates.
In the case the engine had relatively new Carrera tensionsers so reusing them seemed appropriate. Whenever possible, I'm a fan of reusing components that offer reasonable serviceability as long as they don't represent an unreasonable compromise to my build.

Henry, Great Build as usual. Thank you for continually sharing your special projects with us.

I am curious why there is such a significant increase in torque with the air filters on. These look like ITG filters. As far as I know the top surface is filter material, not hard. I am just trying to figure out what causes the increase in output. Is this an effect of engine break-in from successive runs? What are your thoughts?

I believe the theory is that a low restriction air filter helps to straighten out the air flow across the velocity stack promoting improved cylinder filling. We spent all day on the dyno so there could have been increased performance based on break in but Ron (the dyno guy) claims that air filters generate better numbers on most engines he tests.

Henry,

I enjoy reading your updates on what you are up to. Thank you very much. Very impressive build and numbers to match.
