You're a Soldier? PM me and I'll give you my AKO and we'll talk. I'll help you square this away once and for all.

For the rest of you: I'm not gonna' tell him to do something illegal, just the opposite.

We haven't been living together long enough for any of those to apply. Uh, I hope not.

nostatic, if you aren't going to contribute, don't post in this thread anymore. You are no longer welcome in here.

She called a bit ago, as I said, and said she'd call me back within an hour. It's now been almost two hours. Looks like no chance at rehab for her. The cops will find her soon enough I guess, and she'll have some time to think about her stupidity while sitting in jail.

I am contributing you just don't want to hear the truth. You're ignoring a TON of good advice here and climbing back on the train to Chumpsville. Have a good trip and good luck. You're going to need it...

Maybe I mis-spoke, but you shouldn't even care. If she goes to jail, she earned her way there. If she can pay for rehab, good.

In either case, you should never ever speak to, see, listen to or smell her again. And she will smell.

I'm not ignoring any of the advice. I have left her, all of her stuff is in boxes outside my place, I have called the cops on her for her drugs that I found and also reported her missing. I have even called her family to let them know what's going on. I will in no way, shape, or form take her back. I'm done with her. I just wanted to get her to go to rehab. However, she never called me back, so that's done, no rehab for her. I'm done with her.

Do you see the problem here? These two sentences are mutually exclusive. You are in for a world of more hurt. I give you about the same odds Matt gave Ian on the Room Monkeys thread.

Change your phone, cell and e-mail. If you can change your address, do so. Really burn the bridges so there is no way she can get to your side.

...and delete her number, e-mail, etc.

That's good, because there are probably 50 bad things that could happen if you even just drove her to rehab. Nasty, scary things you don't even want to think about.

Don't even take her phone calls anymore. No texting, no emails. If she drives by your place and farts in your general direction, look the other way and hold your nose.

Zero contact.

You have to mean it when you say, "I'm done with her."

Just contacted my entire chain of command and told them what's going on, so that's a big step in keeping my behind safe.

I just want her to go to rehab and fix her life.

She actually just called me earlier for the first time in 5 days. We had the typical conversation, wah wah wahhh I feel so bad, I'm sorry. I told her that I will never take her back, but if she will agree to go to rehab, I will take her there and help her get into rehab. Don't worry, I'm not paying!

Yeah, don't worry I'm not taking her back. ugh, hell no.
No. You cannot get her into rehab. Only she can. I lived with a chemical (alcohol) dependant wife and I ENABLED HER. I tried to fix her. I packed to leave and let her convince me not to, that she would go to rehab, etc. She won't go and/or won't stay. You must accept that you cannot help her, only she can help herself.

WAIT! You are making a fundamental misunderstanding here. Her addiction to meth is a SYMPTOM, not the cause. You cannot fix the real problem, which is most likely self-esteem related.

You are in a very dangerous situation and you can be dragged into all sorts of problems here.

You must accept you cannot fix her.

You must accept you cannot fix her.

You must accept you cannot fix her.

You must accept you cannot fix her.

You must accept you cannot fix her.

Get out of the situation. She needs to deal with her own reality. You are actually helping more by walking away, than by continuing to "help". I know, from personal experience, that humans want to help humans. Sometime you have to understand when something is so broken, you cannot fix it. This is one of those times.

Change your number so she cannot call you. Do not call her. If the "plan" you have is combined and you are paying for it (Seems that way), cancel the plan and get a new one. Move at the first opportunity. Do not associate with mutual friends, but let them know why. Make a break with this and make it the past.

This is not the easy path. But you define your self by the hard decisions you make, not by the easy paths you take.
