60-inch wing, uprights and endcaps, at GT Racing will set you back over $1,200.
![]() I made my own end caps, had KevinP73 make me a set of uprights, and got a slightly-misformed wing for free from the manufacturer (who couldn't sell it). There's got to be a way to get the wings cheaper. It's a very simple part.

Picture is pre modifications....
Engine '97 3.6 Vario-Ram [13,600 original miles] Wevo semi solid engine mounts no heat, no air 3" resonator tips direct from cats Turbo clutch Suspension Elephant 23 front, 29 rear torsion bars Elephant adjustable sway bars front and rear Elephant poly/bronze throughout Elephant low friction a-arm mounts Rennsport mono balls front and rear Rennsport triangulated strut brace Bilstein Sport rear, HD front 7" X 16" front, 8" x 16" rear W/1 1/8" spacers [H&R] Lowered WAY down there.....rolled the left front fender using a piece of 1" PVC schedule 40 and a hammer! Experts said the suspension was going to beat me to death. They were wrong.....comfortable but PLANTED. Body Took the big, ugly turbo whale tail off, had the holes plugged the old fashioned way [with metal, by hand] and repainted. Looking for a way to mount a removeable wing without drilling holes in the outside [visible] metal. The early '87-'89 Carreras look so much better without the wings [just my opinion, of course]. I bought Bill's 964 3.6 and stuffed it into my '85 Targa. While doing so backdated the car to look like a '72 RS.
Stock engine and 915 gearbox. Suspension and brake updates to follow. JoeA ![]() ![]()
