Cleaned up the old grease and repacked the steering rack, installed new turbo tie-rods.

I had to use a grease pump to removed the stuck pistons in the front calipers... Worked like a charm, but now I have to clean up the grease...

Front and rear sway bars, along with front torsion bars were dropped off at the powder coater near TRE in Van Nuys.

Progress...!!!

Winter is here time to work on the car.
First the head lights
Than we removed the interior fixed the radio replaced the clock and speedo steering wheel and the shift knob
Sent the front seat out should get them back next week. Old seats
Next we removed the exhaust system

And we replaced the battery
Now we are waiting for the new exhaust and all the parts to put the heat back in this car. Also have brakes and rotors coming this week. And still have to install pop off valve. Makes winter enjoyable!!!! Than went for arise yesterday

Put in a can of Techron, filled it with ethanol-free super and then logged 90 miles at 65+ and 3500+. All better.

Drove the living crap out of it at Roebling Road Raceway for two days at a PCA DE, even if it was my water-cooled 997 Twin Turbo!

Installed passenger's side Recaro Profi SPA on the stock sliders.
Driver's seat is electric so I need to find me some manual sliders first.

Drove the 88 for about 50 good miles on the back roads. Adjusted the idle (too high) and checked the oil level. 50 deg day. Warmest in weeks. Back into the ice box Tuesday. I hate winter.

Pictures in the post above show the tank "during" refinishing.
This is the final product, after all 3 steps of POR15 and a protective coating

Front oil cooler before...

Both oil coolers back from Pacific Oil Cooler Service

My 86 Carrera did NOT come with a fan on the front cooler. Any suggestions on a quick and dirty fan install? I would use a switch to turn it On/Off. TIA!

What did you do to your 911 today?

Installed the 4-fuse ATO panel from fellow Pelican Fred Cook to replace the ceramic 3-fuse panel in the engine bay. Gave me an extra spot to wire in the constant power connection to the MSD Street Fire. Good time to trim up the corroded wire ends and grounds!

Also tidied up the wiring a bit. I think it turned out well.

You can't buy happiness, but you can buy car parts which is kind of the same thing.
