I first thought the estimated price on this Ferrari (or what's left of it) being auctioned by RM/Southeby's during Monterey Car Week was an attempt at humor.
One of only 13 built, the final sale price was anything but humorous...it went for a cool $1.875M

There were other un-restored vintage Ferraris from the same seller being auctioned by RM too. Several were damaged when a storage building collapsed on them during a storm and were being sold 'as-is'.

SOLOMON ISLANDS.
Original caption. Just about the greatest luxury that a soldier in the field can have is running water in his quarters. S/Sgt. Robert L. Woodside of Long Beach, California, accomplished this by fitting a spigot on a discarded fuel drum and mounting it on a platform outside his tent in the Solomon Islands, Here, he fills his helmet from his improvised water system. Same for cows milk: "see that animal over there, I am gonna go over there and pull on those things hanging down, and I am gonna drink what comes out!"

Or raw oysters.

Yep, that really is cake. She makes amazing creations from cake.

Frank Cady is the only actor in television history to play the same recurring character in three different shows at the same time.

The speed limit was lowered to 55 in 1974 when the federal speed limit was enacted and raised to 65 mph after repeal.

The art and the artist. Better art than most modern art, and most of Picasso's work.

Folks that like old tools frequently build new handles for them. Saw guys do it for saws, hand plane folks do it for planes, Axes get rehung. Some folks really go all out. This is a photo that I found on Faceplant from a guy that makes handles for hammers.
