Doesn't scifi usually split their shows, so half the season is July-October and then Jan-Mar?

I re-watched the finale last night. Some further observations:

The nuclear bomb that "Gena" detonated came from Baltar. Baltar requested it from Adama--at the urging of the Six in his head. Could the Six in his head have been coordinating with "Gena"?

After a year in office, Baltar seems to be widely regarded as a failure and the settlement on New Caprica as a misstep.

The people on the ground in New Caprica offer no resistance because:

1) They have nothing to resist with. The fleet has jumped away.
2) The Cylons do not open fire.

I had a few thoughts too. I thought the cylons issued a reprieve. Knowing that there were factions within the cylon organism that were regretting war, championed by caprica-six and sharon, I thought it odd that they would storm back.

So, I guess, is it possible that the factions split? And that it was not caprica six and sharon, but copies that re-emerged and invaded?

Is it possible that sharon and caprica six miss their men so much that they swayed the cylons into coming back so they could re-unite with Baltar and the Chief?

Well, the Dean Stockton character told Adama and company that the cylons have 'changed their plan.' IE: They no longer wish to annihilate the human race. Given the blurb at the end (the teaser for the 3rd season) it seems they wish to "take their rightful throne" and become gods of the humans. And to that end - they did occupy New Caprica, but they did not kill any of the humans. (yet. )

I believe it was the Capria Six and the Galactica Sharon that gave Baltar the option to surrender. (The same two cylons who were resurrected a few episodes ago).

I think this is VERY likely. The 6 at the end did say to Baltar..."We know you very well, Gaius Baltar." Inferring that she is Gina/Caprica-6....his old girldfriend.

As we know both Carpica-6 and Boomer started their little insurgency because they loved Baltar/Chief respectively.

I suspect that will dramatically come to an end for Boomer when she sees that Cali, the woman who shot her, is pregnant with the Chief's child.

I wonder if Gina is going to be upset with Baltar for sleeping with...herself!

I have the mini-series on DVD, but want to complete my collection.

Does the Season 1 DVD contain all 13 episodes from season 1?

Which episodes does the Season 2.0 DVD contain? All 20?

Yep, the season one box set is the complete season + the miniseries.

The season 2 discs (that I have seen) contain the 10 eps from the first half of season 2.

The second 10 eps from season 2 aren't out yet that I know of. I'm hoping they release all 20 season 2 eps in one box set. That might bug the people who bought the "first half of season 2" set, though.

That's horrible! I didn't realize the mini-series was included with season 1.

It depends... If you bought season 1 when it first came out, it was a UK import and came without the miniseries. You could buy those separately. If you were more patient and bought the US season 1, it was cheaper and had it all !! I was not one of the patient ones ;-)

Someone sent me an article a few weeks ago that SciFi is developing a prequal series called "Caprica". It's supposed to take place 50 years before the current series and track the Adama family and the Graystone family. The article seemed to imply the Graystones played a key role in developing the Cylons. At this point, a pilot has not even been shot, so this might not go anywhere.

Last I heard, BSG season three was going to start in December -- Now I find out it is going to be October. Yahoo... (PS: I should have read Legion's post here back in April...)
