That's gotta make swimming a little challenging.

Morning Glen.
No snapping logs this far south, only a few snakes, and they don't take much when they bite.

And as soon as I set foot in that pond all the experts will say "Wow, no one has ever seen a monster man eating croc this far south before"

eeewww snakes, I don't really like snakes.
One of my fondest memories of snakes is hiking in the plateau in Tasmania around the great lakes at the beginning of summer, the undergrowth is about 12-18 inches deep, and the red belly black and copperheads were laying on the top of the thick grass and stubble to warm up, when you disturb them they go under the grass and you can't see them, but you know they are farkin there, aaaaaahhhhh!!!! Always took antivenom vial with us, as much for the dogs as us. My thoughts were you always took dogs with you because they scout along in front and hopefullly scare the snakes away before you get there!! I'm still alive aren't I!

Was visiting a cousin in Tennessee. We picked up some chicks and took a drive to thru the Smoky Mountains. Most of the road followed the river.
Stopped at a scenic turnout and saw an albino snake sunning itself on a rock out in the river. Just because I don't like snakes, let alone a freaky looking all white albino snake, I threw a rock at it and hit it. The *(*&@#$ thing charged at us with it's mouth open. Very unnerving. Same drive, on the highest peak of the Smokey Mountains, Clingman's Dome I found a single eagle feather. On a 50 mile hike in Arkansas while in Boy Sprouts stepped across some rocks and between the rocks was a Rattlesnake. Without even thinking I immediately shot it in the head with the 22 rifle I was carrying. It didn't even have time to shake it's rattle at me. We got to taste rattlesnake for dinner that night and later tanned the snake skin. We were carrying because the area we were hiking was overpopulated with bobcats and park rangers were paying $75 each. We had some bigger cats go thru our camp one night, but never saw even one bobcat.

I don't have any problems with snakes. I don't mess with them and they don't mess with me.
My mother was a docent at the OKC zoo. ![]() That is Charlie the 6 foot boa constrictor she is holding. She used to go around in a zoo owned van to schools with Charlie the snake, a small gator, an owl, and several other little critters to show the kids in classrooms. She had a pet tarantula at home for many years. I have a picture somewhere of me holding Charlie. ![]() Mom said this was as close to a sister as I would ever get.

I would give Sid a hard time, but at least he has a place to autocross.
I deal with reptilian snakes better than human snakes, though I think some states it is legal to shoot both.

Calling some humanoids a snake is an insult to all snakes.
I will turn 333,333.3 miles on the El Camino today at lunch time. I have only put 293,000 or so of those mile on it.

Yeah, yeah, monkeys are real cute...right up until they get pissed and start slinging poop at you.

You are way ahead of us. 184,000 miles on our Durango and it is getting a new pinion bearing in the 9-1/4 rear end today. The engine uses a quart of oil in 5000 miles and some of the seats are getting worn. One of these days we will get another. At least a 2014 so we get the 8 speed and Pentastar 6. Even then we will hang onto this one.

Poop slinging is common with many prisoners in high security prisons as well. That is a baby gorilla in the pic with my mom. Much more civilized than the average prisoner.

I just had a client walk in. He said something along the lines of "I need another aerial like last time" and was surprised that I did not remember all the details about it. OK, what was the name on the last job we did? Oh well, John. I dig through all my files and no John. I look in the billing program, no John. "Could it be under a different name?" I ask.
No that would be it. Finally after more questions he throws out a different possible name like Zbigniew Brzezinski and what do you know there are the files. So he can't remember what business name he gives us but I was supposed to remember his job because it was a special aerial just like the thousands we have done just like it for other clients. Oh well, we love him because he pays us promptly.
