Before I was borned a tarnady went down the main street in the small town where my parents lived. Did a bunch of weird stuff.

Parents 2 story house looked like it missed getting any damage. BUT, their small covered trailer was missing. It was like one of those small U-Haul trailers. Found it in the boys room upstairs in the house. Did an inspection and could not find any issues with the roof. Said it was like it opened the roof, set the trailer in, then put the roof back down nail for nail.

My oldest sister was running home from school. She found a box of chocolates in her stack of books she was running home with.

As a kid when there was a big storm someone would mention that tarnady and all the weird stuff that happened. If asked big brother he would probably say aliens.

One of my former co-workers grew up on a farm. He said a tornado came through and destroyed the original farm house that was being used as a storage barn. And it tore up the trees. He said his dad went out and drilled small holes in the tree, and inserted straw. He made a bunch things just to make the event weirder. Then when the sheriff came to see if they awe OK, he showed all the things to the sheriff. Word got around fast in a farm community, and soon he was charging 25 cents per person to see the "mysterious tornado damage."

Kinda like the fire damage in Paradise, CA it is just weird how house after house is nothing left but a pile of rubble or just a foundation, and then a house is still there, almost untouched. We helped fly the Paradise fire damage. I got to look at some of the aftermath. Not much left bu the school, the mall and a few scattered houses. Very random houses are spared.

Yea, I often said I never wanted a career, I just wanted a steady paycheck. Now I have to mow the bosses yard, and wash his cars to get him to pay me. The good news I get to drink his beer and use his cars and drink his beer and sleep with his wife.

yeah a job where you get to drink beer and sleep with the bosses wife wouldn't be so bad.

Yea, I could be in our 182 flying to a project in Arkansas. I decided to let my business partner have the fun all by himself. I will process the imagery. My computer may have to work on Christmas day.

Yea, and they are happiest when they have electricity provided and something to do. We had an computer at my last job that was a Windows NT server box. All it did was run a old 1TB SCSI RAID device. Back when it was bought 1TB was HUGE. It was still running fine last time I saw it and it was running fine and it was purchased new in 1994. It ran 24/7 356 except for a few time to shut it down to blow the dust out.

Got to play ice road truckers this morning. Raining here....dirt roads were slicker than snot on a glass door knob.
Got to love the people that leave messages on the phone at the town garage. Yeah......guess what.....every road in town is a sheet of ice not just yours.

Freezing rain, sleet, or icy roads sucks. Good luck out there, Pete.

This weekend am making the apricot mango chip juice I give as Christmas gifts. But since there are no Toasted Corn Doritos people will be on their own for chips. And I can no longer vouch for the actual flavor since I custom made the salsa to be eaten with Toasted Corn Doritos.

#@!!$%!! FritoLay. The Grinches.

Oh my,

Just got an email that they want us to use Email Signatures.

Name
Title

Big LOGO

Street Address
CIty State zip
Office Phone and extention
Cell phone

Company Web Address

Man, that takes up too much space! Especially for communications within the company.

My email signature is one line. It has my name, small logo, title, and cell number.

If Customers/Vendors need my mailing address I send it to them
Customers/Vendors only need one phone number that works.
If they have my email address they don't need the company web address.
But hey, that's just my personal opinion.

What is terrible is that I setup automatic signatures using the disclaimer function in Office365.
It used the information from Active Directory.
If it was internal, it just put their Name, title. extention and phone number in one line.
If it went external, it put the logo (as a link to the company web site) address, etc.
AND it was smart. If the signature was already in an email (conversation) it did not add it again.

They had me turn it off a year ago. Now they are going back to the same format/information.

Oh well. bunch o gumps

You are going to have to make your own chips!

No naders here. We had a motorcycle trailer enter the garage once from where it was parked 80' away. Had some lawn furniture go the direction perpendicular to the trailer across the road into the bean field. Kids didn't like storms for a long time after that one.

So, out looking at the new construction for the maintenance garage with the head of maintenance to see where the network drops are going for the computers and WAPs. So the head guy asks the electrician where the Cat 6 is going and the electrician replied they are putting Cat 5 in. The electrician told us it is the same thing except Cat 6 has a plastic runner on the inside. Uh, sure.

Do they have storage quotas?

We have the same thing here but I said they don't need it on every email and use it only on the first and set Outlook to use a simple signature for replies/forwards.

Ask your electrician if he’s willing to eventually rip out the Cat 5 wiring and install Cat 6 out of his own pocket?

CAT5E supports Gigabit networking, but CAT6 is certified for Gigabit networking and will perform better over longer distances. Keep in mind that your network is only as fast as your slowest component, so unless every piece of your network (routers, cables, etc.) supports Gigabit Ethernet, you will not be able to reach those speeds.
