I dropped off my old battery to get rid of it and get a new battery. I went ahead and put in a glass mat battery so no more battery acid to worry about.

Mornin', y'all. I survived a motorcycle safety course this weekend. Now I can wrap up getting my CA drivers and motorcycle license. My wife is taking the written test for her CA drivers license tomorrow. At that point, we'll officially be guests of Hotel California.

Richard, quick Excel question. Our CFO clicks file/share/email and is instantly pops up a request for her AD password. It does not even bring up the compose window until after she puts her password in. This happens intermittently. We had a hard frost this weekend. Our fruit trees were in bloom at the time so I hope they aren't hurt too badly. Some of the farmers had soybean shoots up already, they will take a hit. Still have not gotten out to shoot the new spoon. Even found some WWB .45ACP for $.35 a round which I didn't think was too bad. Need some dies to reload it now. Haven't found a holster yet either.

They're pretty accurate and since the projectile is so heavy, it's not affected much by wind. They have a heck of a drop though.

Good Morning folks. We had a thunderstorm roll through last night about 1:30 AM. Nothing severe, just a thunderstorm. I slept through most of it. About 4:20 AM we had an incredible and massive clap of thunder and a lot of rolling thunder. It is just astonishing how long it just kept reverberating. The windows rattled and the rumble just kept going and going.
![]() I started the removal of the old amp in the 911 from the previous owner last night. The speakers were connected with lamp cord and a crimp connection. ![]() The brown and red wires are the factory speaker wires. I have ignored it for all these years because it worked and was out of the way and I did not want to fix something that was not broken. The new stereo only powers sub woofers with the RCA jacks that the all the former stereos used. I looked at yanking the amp but that will wait until I get back from the trip. Getting the passenger side seat out is going to be a challenge. Not much room to get at the seat bolts. The old amp is disconnected and unpowered now. I got the new battery installed and that monster battery is a tight fit. I have to remove the fan for the front AC condenser to get the battery in place. There is zero wiggle room. No more battery acid to worry about.

That "lamp cord" is what is considered speaker wire. It is not stock, but if you have a custom stereo installed in your car, that type of wire is very likely what they are going to use. That's what my home stereo speakers are wired with, silver plus, copper minus. It is also what was used for speaker wire on the custom install in my 90 928 GT, and the Range Rover. It is higher gauge than the wire used in the device patch cables terminated with RCA phono jacks.

I really think the amp was put in sometime in the late 1980s or early 1990s. Certainly a few years before 1995 when I bought it. It was a typical stereo store hack job. I am just very thankful they did not have an alarm system but in. There are many pages on the technical site about removing an alarm system and the horrible damage done to the wires.

Parents had a Crown Vic that was formerly company car. The aftermarket alarm was supposed to be the best you could get. Stupid thing kept going off and would kill the car for no apparent reason WHILE YOU WERE DRIVING. Then it took a long time for it to reset so you could drive. I yanked it all out and ended up having to take it to the Ford dealership to get everything wired up properly again so it would be reliable. There were just too much stuff hooked into the computer they had hacked for me to fix properly.
The car used to be my brother's company car. When I asked my brother about the alarm system he said it was always going off and left him stranded several times. And that's why he sold it. Find it difficult to believe my brother would sell our parents a car that was so unreliable. Yet, when the air suspension had a busted bag instead of letting me get the air bag fixed he took the car and had it converted to springs. Converting it to springs was more expensive than just fixing the air suspension at the time. Nephew said something about putting police interceptor suspension on it. Didn't ride nearly as nice and it started rattling after that.

I scheduled my daughter for a skill test at a different gymnastics company. She wants to get into competition and we have been putting it off. I have no idea if she's good enough to compete but we'll find out.
I don't think she walks anywhere. She is usually flipping, jumping, cartwheeling across the house. How much do circus performers make, anyway?

Excel thing...
Is Outlook already open when it asks for credentials? Does it ask for credentials when opening Outlook? My Excel goes straight to a new email. If Outlook is not already open, it goes thru whatever it needs to open including asking for credentials if need be. Mine has several profiles for me to pick from, only one of those profiles does not require credentials to open.

Didn't some of those Ford products have a fuel pump reset button in the trunk?
I recall reading that after a minor impact the cars wouldn't run until it was reset which confused many folks.
