Just before lunch I had a hemorrhage in my left eye. Dots with strings, then the strings kind of spread and connect together, the dots get smaller and the strings get longer and thinner. Then it Breaks up into a bunch of strings that kind of look like scratches, then it dissipates into just tiny dots that make my vision darker and blurrier. Happened a couple of more times by the time I cooked and ate lunch so called eye doc. Went in at 3pm and it had bled and disipated 2 more times and started a new on just before going to doc. Got a shot of Avastin in the eyeball.

Doc says I may have to have another Vicrectomy.

Monday I was seeing 20/40, really good thrn had a small hemorrhage. Think I complained to Glen at lunch Tues that it was worse in my left eye. Then another Weds. Felt like it was at about 20/60 after that. Don't know what it is now but I can't see how many fingers I am holding up in front of my own face, just a big blur of colors.

Doc told me to sleep sitting up and the blood will settle to the bottom of my eye and will clear up some.

David, that's San Jose, right?

Friend of mine worked at Apple there for a while. His apartment was a little over a mile from Apple. He walked because he said he could get there quicker. I was able to drive from San Jose to the Moscone center in southern San Francisco in about 45 minutes though. Didn't really seem that bad.

Sorry, don't remember any places to go eat. None of the places we went to eat was very memorable. Only remember that one place because a famous Apple tech writer met us for dinner there. And really only remember that I had ordered steak and only after the guy left discovered he was vegetarian and detested meat eaters. He all but completely ignored me the whole meal. I wondered why the friend I was visiting ordered eggs at a steak joint. Later the friend apologized for forgetting to warn me.

I am in Santa Clara at the chipmaker. Yeah the airport is not that far away but traffic is just insane.

Sorry David. I hope you get something decent for supper. When I travelled for work I looked forward to eating somewhere that was local to that city and not a chain. Even ordered in pizza seemed to be better than what we buy at home.

Tonight I made teriyaki pork chops in the slow cooker. Last time I used too much marinade and they were a bit too teriyaki-ey. Used a bit more water tonight and they were just right. No knife needed and the meat fell off the bone. Did some baked taters the Alton Brown way in the oven to go with them.

I think I am going to do half turkey breast this weekend using the same method.

Cool. I'm going to see if I can get out of here early. Can't get out tonight but I can certainly catch an early flight tomorrow.

I am read for that change. I am tired of driving to work in the dark.

If you don't turn back your clocks you will be one hour in the future and everyone around you will be living in your past.

Welp, hope your week ends up a whole heck of a lot better than my freakin week. flippin sucks to go blind in one eye, I say, freakin sucks. Even if they tell me it will eventually be better than it is now, still freakin sucks.

So, the burlwood trim on the door pull handle on the Turbo was cracked on the driver's door and a big chunk fell out. You can see one on the passenger door below. It matches the grab hanldles on the center console. Mine the silver trim between the dark top upholstry and the beige lower upholstery is wood trim as well.

The B/W picture shows the part that broke. It's called a door pull trim and it is an insert. New in leather or vinyl to match your Cayenne is $60, but you have to call to match the wood like mine. It's $1000, and you have to buy all 4 in a kit.

On ebay I've found a door trim kit for $37. But it is trimmed in leather to match the color of the door and not wood.

It looks like this minus the silver door handles...

My door would look like this...

Think it's worth $963 for the door pull to be wood trim like the grab handles?

I can replace the center console grab handles with tan leather as well, for $150. Then it would all match like this..

That is a lot of money for cosmetics only.

I think I would do the $37 kit and wait until the Cayenne S is sold and you have the 928 back. You will have lots to spend on getting the 928 back into top shape.

Good Friday morning all.

I do not understand why it is taking him so long when overheard him talking to his dad about pulling the motor on a 365. I understand the he is short handed after another guy quitting, but not happy about hearing him starting something else without finishing mine!

You are there so you can take care of it if something hiccups, burps, or passes gas unexpectedly.

Friend of mine in HS spent his summers in Alaska in a remote shack watching gauges on the pipeline.
Said he never had it register anything he had to get on the radio and report.
He and one other guy took turns watching the gauges.
Said it was really really boring.
Got paid out the wazzo for it though. 2 summers basically paid for his college.
Bet a computer does that job now.

That has to be very annoying.

Back in the days when I lived in Alabama and worked as a new photographer we would get calls from AP, UPI, Time Magazine, Newsweek and several newspapers to go photograph a local news story. I sometimes took two cameras and would shoot one camera for one client and another for a different client even though it was the same event.

The National Enquirer called us up and the reporter was perfect for the job as a reporter for the Enquirer. He told me on the phone that Governor George Wallace had a murder contract out on him (the reporter) so he could not meet with me he had to do everything by phone and he could not tell me his location. We called the Enquirer to make sure that reporter was really working there.

Anyway, that goofy reporter was convinced that Wallace's wife was going to leave the governor's mansion the day before she had announced in her press conference. They paid us our day rate for me to sit at the mansion and play cards with the state troopers that are the guards. I sat around and listened to their stories and we had a fun day. Of course the next day a ton of other reporters and photographers showed up on the schedule she had announced and she got in the back of a limo and drove away. I never did buy a copy of the Enquirer to see if they used my photos.

At that age it was great to be paid for a day of goofing off.
